Was practicing my attic encounter and had this happen a few times. So I wanted to share this to let you guys know it is indeed possible. Not really sure about the consistency of it though. Pretty iffy. Maybe someone can perfect a sure fire method. Feel free to give any insight.
Is the multihit somehow tied to framerate? Because I can't run the game with high settings, and I couldn't get those crazy hits, at best I've got like 5 hit Mia. Tried for several hours.
Can't say for certain. I've never attempted to even play the game at lower framerates. One thing I do notice though, the camera behaves quite strange while attempting these multi hits. Almost like it locks on to her hit box. Kind of hard to describe. Testing it a few times you should be able to recreate it easily.
When you right click with weapons it counts as aiming, even with melees as far as I can tell, so when you right click while inside of her model the auto aim freaks about a little bit because it resets after each collision with her hitbox, it's essentially hitting a hitbox segment and locking on to a new one over and over
I play on variable frame rate and I can always consistently get the first hitbox glitch, I haven't had a one hit but I've had a few two hits; I haven't tested if it's tied to frame rate as reliability
That sounds pretty accurate. I also just want to point out I have aim assist disabled and settings and this still occurs.
See :D I told you guys in Discord suddenly got 1 hit somehow but don't know if it's consistence
In general no but I suppose because Mia is moving and there is blood effects occurring and the axe moving the screen doesn't align itself with everything going on due to vsync going on.
I dunno though
That's the whole thing, "if" its dependant on vsync, someone says they managed to do it by changing vsync settings so I tried to see why that could be; whether it is truly possible or not I don't know, I'm unsure what causes it and I don't have a console so, I can't test that
All I can say that for me, the difference with vsync and without was obvious, without I never got the sound you get when you get lot of hits at once, only couple of hits.
Can confirm, atleast for me, the Vysnc change also worked. I was even able to get the 1 Shot 3-4 times in a row.
I had started to think I was just bad at getting multi-hits, but apparently changing from 60 to variable fps made all the difference.
See this is weird because carci changed from variable where he couldn't hit it to 120 and he started getting it.
It's so random it seems
Ah, so I'm not the only one that gets the weird hitbox lock-on when you swing the axe? It was super disorienting when I tried; It would throw my camera around like I had an aimbot or something. (Aim assist setting doesn't affect this, and I don't use right-click with the axe)
This game's complex with how much testing or tinkering that needs to be done on the littlest things. Some tricks only work(or work better) at 30 FPS cap, some only work at 60, some may have to be over 100, and some may require VSync to be on or off. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if there's even more settings that affect tricks. So if you're trying new things out, keep these things in mind.
See I thought that but everybody's saying "you must have 30 or 60 fps locked" yet I do most of the tricks on variable; it's very inconsistent in a way
i never got 1 hit kill (im on pc) the best i did on a run was 3 hit kill,i tried it many times from a save and i never got it even changing the things in options like some of you said but nothing, thats why i stoped hoping for it,now i just try to 3hit kill
