Watched 'Parasite' recently, and although I haven't actually seen any of the films it beat out for best picture I think it's probably deserved. I've loved all of Bong Joon-Ho's prior films for their uniqueness and absurdism and this was no exception. The best I've heard it described is as a more perfect version of Snowpiercer. Highly recommended.
And if you wanna watch a surreal movie that is intentionally and artfully unpleasant, try City of Lost Children.
Not nearly as unpleasant as Requiem for a Dream, but it's definitely nightmare fuel without any jumpscares. It will leave you with a gross, unsettling feeling.
Perfect for Christmas. ;)
I have a large selection of my favorite movies. Favorite films from the last are Matrix 4, Dune, Spiderman. Most of all liked the series Foundation.
familyguy is very funny. you should watch it. all at once. no sleep or food. watch it all.
Nightmare Alley goes in with my top ten movies of all time along with paint drying (the 10 hour version), finding Nemo, and the Roblox movie.
Movie(s): Moonfall Series/Anime: The Promised Neverland (season 2 sucks tho), Love, Simon and Love, Victor
If you're into true crime stuff, I've always loved watching Forensic Files. Not only is it super intriguing and informative, but it also doesn't treat the cases covered like a fictional story that you can make jokes out of (although the names of the episodes dip into that kind of territory a bit.)
