Removal of platforms for levels (licenses)

Hello everyone, and a happy 2024!

I decided to remove the platform division for licenses, since I don't see it being necessary and don't know why it was a thing in the first place, since the in-game timer is used.

I am, however, aware of rally apparently being faster on NTSC-U compared to PAL, but this should be the only difference (apart from NTSC-J's rally physics being ice)

If, however, this should become an issue when it comes to the timer accuracy, we will revert it back.

I agree with this move. As a moderator of all GT games I haven’t had a chance to give attention to a lot of them yet. A lot of changes are needed and this is a welcome one that makes sense.

good, as long as emulator runs are labelled as emulator, since they could potentially be TAS savestate runs without proof of “live gameplay” (recording while playing and not just showing replay)

Yeah when you submit a run there is an option to mark as emulator. Plus most of the time we can tell.

option to mark as emu is no longer there for me, it used to be

plus some old emu runs are not marked as emu, think they were just verified as console runs, might be worth looking into

EMU option is there now. Platforms weren't selected.

Runs will be looked into at some point. I personally don't have time since I'm managing other boards at the moment, but maybe one of the other two mods can look into necessary changes.

I have plans to overhaul the board at some point to make stuff clear, easy to understand, etc. But that's the case with many of the GT games. One at a time.
