This is the fastest known route to date thanks to danschemen, the old WR holder.
Timing starts when you hit "Start Game" and ends when you defeat Galactic Emperor.

Get through the beginning until you beat Nekobe and Kitsune. (800 energy)

Do the 20th force glitch for the Beam Gunner (3,9) and Samurai Shogun (3, 9, 10, 11). ¤Note: You can do different borgs if you want, extensive testing needs to be done to see who are the 2-3 fastest borgs for the entire game. Dragons are the fastest but you can't create them with the 20th Force Glitch in the US version.

Fight Kakeru to open up more levels.

Fight in missions against double partners, Nekobe & Kitsune, etc then go for the easy Death Force missions

Finish all the missions and don't fight Sho if he pops up before being able to fight the Flame Dragon. Fight the Flame Dragon. (1050 energy)

Go to "Defeat the Death Force bodyguards!". Play it and quit until Orochi shows up in the same place. Quit his fight as well to "sequence break".

Complete all areas that the Death Force have taken over. Fight the Hero Borgs. Finish the missions until Orochi shows up. Fight Orochi and after the mission is finished, fight the Dark Knight(on the same area). When the Dark Knight shows up, you only need to kill the Dark Knight and the level will finish.

Fight with Kotaro and add Neo G Red once you get into the Force option. Co-op with Kotaro. Train with Kakeru then Nekobe & Mana then Kotaro(same area). Do Kotaro's Crash Course. Train with Nekobe & Usagi. Defeat the Death Force unit (bottom left) then defeat the ICBM Tanks(same area). Do Kotaru's Crash Course 2. Fight the Hero Borg Unit then do Kotaru's Crash Couse 3.

Fight "Another Death Commander!". Choose "Battle with Sho & Yuji!" then quit. Go to it again and quit. Do "Defeat a Death Commander!" and choose Tsutomu. Fight the Hero Borgs (same area). Battle Yuji & Met then Tama (same area). Do "A mysterious crystal." Fight Tama again (left side). Do "The Hot Battle!!" then Death Eye unit. Go co-op with Sho to defeat Orochi.

Do "The dragon's den!" then Death Force special unit. Defeat the Ultimate Cannon. Fight with Tsutomu then fight with Mana. Defeat the Tank Borgs then Knight borgs. Defeat the Copy Man unit then do Showdown at the Death Base!(same area). Fight the deadly UFOs and fight the Cosmic Dragon(same area). Kill Orochi and the real Cosmic Dragon shows up.

Do every co-op mission. Defeat the Girl Borgs then the Big Battle, Diver units, Small battle, and Machine borgs. Defeat the Wing & Angel Borgs then the Vehicle unit, great dragon parade, Oriental Battle (w/ Yuji), Hero Borgs, "Mr. Reverse Bolt" (w/ Usagi), Cold Battle, bombing unit. Defeat the Cyber Death Dragon.

Defeat the Galactic Emperor.
