For people that are starting out, you may wonder what is meant by timer starts are new game or new data.

Basically by selecting "New Data" you skip a small cutscene before movement. New game means you will see the cutscene. New Data saves a few frames. There is no in game way to delete the game so you have to delete via file explorer.

Almost all runs except Any% no S&Q will feature S&Q. When you save the game and reset. When you load the save you will be at the entrance to that room. The game notes where you entered the room from and that is where you will return to. This is good in rooms which have keys or spirits.
