Question about old leaderboards

There's this one case, where my run is about to be rejected since the leaderboard is made for "archival purpose". It is an older version of the game, and a couple of the moderators want to keep the leaderboard as so, hence the rejection. (all runs are from 3-4 years ago).

  • It is totally possible to run this older version of the game with no problems.

Is it allowed to keep this kind of "archived" leaderboards and rejecting further runs? If they are allowed to reject, what should they write in the rules? The older version is even listed in the Resources section of the SRC page..

In drift86 we have an older All tracks category we allow new runs to it dont know why you wouldnt allow runs to it. i see no real reason to keep a board "archived" if the category is still possible to do and if you want to look at how the boards were of the category before it was "archived" you could use the date filter edit: sorry not a good answer:D

I've seen people add separate categories for versions of the game that aren't playable, such as playing smb special on original hardware, and those categories are archived, but I've never seen a board solely for archival purposes, and especially not when the game is still accessible

Yeah they most likely will change the rules that ban some of the newer glitches/tricks, which is a way I agree/respect.
