do moderators have the ability to selectively apply which categories go to which Individual levels in clusters? The way the current setup shows, it heavily implies that which categories apply to which ILs can be easily micro managed, e.g "Levels: All" or when clicking on a category it shows all the individual categories that can be submitted to under that level.
For context, I moderate a game that allows only select levels to be played cooperatively, but all to be solo played, and am interested in removing the solo only levels from the coop list.
If not this should be implemented asap since it was promised with the enhanced moderator tools beta iirc
What is the actual point of support tickets for site feedback and bug reports? Who is supposed to do something about these? Elo sure isnt
Hey - I'm the one that checks bug reports and feedback and I've been lacking. Will make sure to catch up soon.
dw meta, that wasn't a targeted call out to you. <3 I appreciate all the work you do. Hopefully you get a team or at least some helpers at some point.
2 more complaints. Why do miss spelled words not automatically show up as corrected when fixed? Staring at the red line under the word even after fixing it is very annoying and off-putting.
Secondly, more on the suggestion side, can we please make it so audit logs show guide changes?
The "whole moderation team" is like two people lol. And the whole development team is like 5 people. Elo is not a very big company.
Hi there. I am a moderator for a game called BLACK. www.speedrun.com/black/
When I try to change General or Rules in the Game Settings, I get the following error and my edits are not saved. It says "Error Name is already used by another game or series"
I have changed devices and browsers and the situation is the same. Support tickets were issued a month ago but no response.
Moderators of other games, are you experiencing this problem?
Well this one is an interesting issue. Submitted a Pacify Headquarters run for October 31st, got verified and lists October 30th for the run date? How would this even happen?
Honestly, please give us a way to choose what we want to see when we log into the site. Allow us to customize the "Latest Runs" tab to not show us games we are not following or moderating for.
It's getting increasingly annoying not being able to see the stuff I personally care about, without having to scroll down past several meme or edgelord games or Romhacks of popular games I have no interest in - I don't care about Shotgun Mario 64, I don't care about Asset Flip Scary Game or "1 second Run Mobile Game #1692".
I suggest the website allows users to customize based on certain tags / categories, which leaderboard maintainers would have to realistically and faithfully add to their games ("official game", "meme", "romhack", "Mod", "Fangame", "Category Extension", "Mobile game", "Gacha", etc), and then give the users the options to enable or disable based on those and more, such as:
-
Platforms of interest;
-
Official games;
-
Romhacks or Mods;
-
Fangames (actual games that aren't meme modifications or just romhacks. A "fan-game" has to improve on the base game it's based on, ie quality of life features being added for example);
-
Games the user moderates for (which would ignore anything above if any of the games fall in any of those categories);
-
Games the user is following;
It's become quite frustrating having random mobile games or lazy stuff like a spam of 1 second runs cluttering the landing page. It's really not great to see and it makes it a problem trying to actually get what we want to get.
youll never guess who found another site bug :)
if you surround text with ``` when filing support ticket it will just, delete the text, as if its trying to make a code block.
in fact, id reckon that extends to here as well so im gunna try it below:
if you can read this line, the bug is exclusive to support tickets as far as i know
if you cant read that, guess the bug is here too :)
hello, im having i weird issue with the site, im trying to submit a run to a leaderboard but when i try to write stuff like the time or copy the youtube link where i should put it the site reloads itself, so i cant submit the run, this is the first time that it has happened, im on Chrome if that helps.
Similar thing seems to be happening when swapping sub categories on boards also. When you click a different tab now the page entirely reloads, which I'm sure it wasn't doing the other day.
So like, go here: https://www.speedrun.com/octopath2 and click between the 120fps and 60fps sub category tabs. Doesn't appear to do it with the main categories only sub categories.
