Not really, people are a lot more interested in the accounts that actually have usernames at the moment and especially if they have a rare one, and I doubt that will change any time soon.

People think this update is bad, but it's kinda not. The reason for the change makes sense

It is one of the worst updates Discord has ever made to their platform and the majority of people can agree.

The "reason" for this change isn't a reasonable change in the slightest. Tags aren't hard to remember most of the time and most people specify how their username is spelt and what letters are capitalized if there are any. Also this reason here:
You want to use a common name like “Mike” or “Jane” but there are already 9,999 Mikes or Janes so you’re blocked from that name altogether.
How is this a reason?? It's the same problem now? If I wanted to use the name "Wes" on discord now, I still can't use it because only one person can get that name. Besides, a lot of people are adding periods or underscores to maintain their old username. Because of this so-called "solution", more people are making their usernames more complex because they want to keep their old name. Overall, it's a stupid idea that's created an even worse problem now.
