I decided to try my hand at speedrunning NV for the first time today, but didn't disable the DLCs. I was mashing enter to skip the "Caravan Pack has Loaded", etc messages, when the player name box popped up (at about the point Doc Mitchell says "You're finally awake, how about that?"). Pretty much immediately after, the character creator popped up. After that, all of Doc Mitchell's "passive" speech (i.e. the speech that doesn't open the dialog box) was automatically skipped. I'm posting here to see if it's reproducible or just a quirk of my setup, and to ask whether this would be helpful (or even viable) for actual speedrun attempts.
It has been seen before and I believe it was something to do with the voices bsa file but I don't think we found a way to reproduce it :)
