Just found this aswell, i just found it so im terrible at it. But it should save quite some time. Tested if this softlocks the game, it does not.

Ideally this would be great, but I'm finding that clip really inconsistent compared to current strats, if there was a specific setup that worked every time, I can see this working really well.

Would it be worth getting the pickpocket perks before fastravelling to sanctuary and pickpocketing Sturges? It may save time if he's being typical Sturges. I mean it wont save anytime if you were going to get it first time anyway, but it might help.

I am using that already, level 2 in pickpocketing. i also hotkey the stealthboy we get from killing Kellogg and use it at sturges.

The PSS strat is just different, you have to push the gun into the wall you want to pass through, if you look carefully at the video and practice, it should come quickly.

Edit: You can even bring the Power Armour with you and clip with that instead and do the rest of PSS with it, you need one more Jet for the jump to the valentine door

Just a couple of minor cover slides that save a few seconds.

1. Early Concord: the spot on the video appears to be the most reliable in terms of not launching you into the air (and to your untimely death). I have had it occasionally slide me straight to the Museum of Freedom, but normally it behaves as shown in the video.

2. Institute: Easy to do, saves a few seconds and skips the turrets.

So the Institute can be done without PA, saving all the time needed to move it to sanctuary, plus any time getting in/out in the Institute splits.

The clip acts more like a 'Horizontal Clip' but can work either way. With the jump you want the wall with the lights on to basically rub against your face. Remember to quicksave once you've clipped!!!

I don't think we want to use the old PA clip, it is really annoying. I think i will just leave my PA at PSS

I mean you could leave the PA in the elevator, and then leave it there for the rest of the run.

That's what i should have done, lol.

I found a new glitch though, you can store coverslides in the PA. It happened in the 57:12 when i was setting up the Kellogg coverslide

Ok with the sewer clip, do it more as a Horizontal clip, seems to work a lot better

oh yeah and with that coverslide you got before setting up your kellogg slide its not saving them in PA its just that the slide was still active from sliding to greenetech, I've had it happen when running to Rocky Cave by accidentally pulling out my weapon, it wasted like 3 mins of a run.

But i totally had my gun out many times before that? Or didn't i?

Protip for Institute clip; use a 10mm and grab the hilt as close as you can. From testing this seems to be most consistent.

I confirm that 10mm grabbed by the hilt is very consistent

Possible (Not Fully Tested so please respond if this doesn't softlock) v114 minor addition time save

When running to Museum of Freedom you can set up a coverslide when you're about where the Deathclaw is, and you just do MoF in 3rd person (not any more difficult actually). When on the roof and you have entered the power armor you just pick up and take out the minigun and boom instantly to where the deathclaw is. I don't think you get to kill the guy on the roof though, since you just instantly warp, so maybe you dont get two level ups, but that shouldnt really be a problem since you can do the perks when youre at greentech (exploring gives xp) or one in MoF and one later. You can see it in action on my twitch channel. EDIT: It doesnt really provide a decent time save, since Preston kill many of the bandits meaning less xp for you, and then you dont get to level 3 (and then you just get action boy and not solar powered or vice versa).

If you don't jump far enough to the right when you are jumping into Valentines room he will softlock in his "knight in shining armour dialogue". There is a trigger close to the door, so make sure you jump into the room far to the right.

I really hate using a bucket though, so i might just use a gun here instead of using it downstairs.
