new game plus (NG+ for short) would be a more relaxed speed based category instead of luck, you start from the hub into level 1 after already beating the game and play through the end, time stops when you beat the game. there can be two sub-category's, NG+ and Every Level NG+ (which is where you dont skip from pipe dreams to level fun but go to electrical station instead.)
Heres a run I did:
i made a save where you start in level 0 but the game is fully completed, it's in discord > suggestions > ng+.
NG+ isnt about playing on an already beaten save. Its about playing on a new save where previous saves youve played on give you an advantage. For example if you have a save in habitable zone and you press "quit game" during the loadzone sequence back into level 0 through the vent, then when you open up a new save you spawn all the way at the end of level 0. This is because the mainsave file saved the spawn data of that previous save and puts it into effect during your new save. You can use this glitch to skip Level 0, Abandoned Office, and Lights Out (on 2.9). Therefore the category will allow you to have multiple game versions/saves open so you can basically teleport through the map to save minutes. The whole point is to see how fast a new game (+advantages from previous saves) can be beaten.
I thought that was any%? like the whole point of any%? why not use those glitches in any%
when I suggested ng+ it was you beat the game twice and the second time is the time to see how fast you can go, of all the other games I have seen speed runs and speed ran, ng+ means this.
Those glitches are disallowed in any% because of a poll that was held inside the discord server. The point of NG+ being added was to have a category where you can use those glitches. Afaik the category is not being created off of your suggestion.
No Major Glitches rules were updated to include all disallowed glitches instead of all allowed glitches. Hopefully that makes this category less confusing. Also running with TVs in Level 188 Expanded is allowed with these new rules.
