Light Guide/Run Notes

Most dialogue in the game can be skipped out of early. I will attempt to note dialogues that have to be clicked through (you can still skip the dialogue, just not exit out of the conversation) by noting you have to "go through" the dialogue.

--------------

Trigger the Dog, to set off Help.

Speak to Help, go through bottom dialogue to spawn the Dog Bone by the gate.

Give the dog a bone.

Ask Mr. Fearwitt for a room, and get laughed out.

Head to Jeanette and max bet your five dollars at Blackjack. If you lose or get a blackjack, restart. You need exactly ten dollars to bypass the RNG robber.

Find Raddison, take his offer for a cigar, and leave the Cactus Bed.

Find Ms. Macintosh, and click through her dialogue to be brought to her house.

Steal the pictures from the room on the left. Be brought to the dining room.

Skip out of Ms. Macintosh's dialogue, start Marie's, and skip out once you've selected a response about the mine (doesn't matter which).

Sleep

---SPLIT---

Take the fruit from the table and feed it to the parrot in the dining room.

Steal the Mask.

Leave and go to the hotel. Speak to Laurel and make sure you say good morning or she'll never move.

Eat your breakfast.

Go to Ned's Livery, say hi and leave. He will start walking towards Farmer Mcquist.

While he's doing that, take the pie from the alley en route to Heiram's shop.

Give Heiram the pie and get the boots.

Wait at the well for Ned to engage with Farmer Quist.

Steal the gun from the well.

Go to the stagecoach, hand over the stolen pictures, and steal the bullets.

---SPLIT---

Give the ring to Oona at the general store.

Head to the newspaper office.

Skip through the Belchers' dialogue and shoot Cobb.

Speak to the mayor (you can save time by walking towards him and clicking him early, but risk passing him and losing time.)

---SPLIT---

Leave the jail and talk to Help. He'll give you the Book.

Go to the hotel and go to bed.

---SPLIT---

Talk to Buick and get to the staircase. The game will make you wait for Buick to get to the stairs.

Talk to Buick again and click any of the dialogue options regarding breakfast, then skip his dialogue.

Grab breakfast and leave.

Find Laurel around town, generally near the newspaper office.

Find Jackalope near the town gate, and make sure you agree to find him a ring.

Go to the gun range, shoot two cans, and quit. Get the Matchbox.

Go into the mission, and throw the matchbox into the Scorpion Drawer.

Leave the mission entirely, then re-enter and collect the Scorpion.

Go to the general store and ask for the ring. Oona will give you a backdoor key to the Hard Drive.

Enter the back entrance and play Hasao's minigame (from left to right, key sets 5,1,1,3,2,4)

Bring the ring to Jackalope.

Bring the news to Laurel.

Talk to the Mayor, then Dale in prison, then run up and down Main Street until the split.

---SPLIT---

Go to Dr. Rodham and get the prescription.

Talk to Bolivar and then enter the apothecary.

Make the medicine (Far right, blue rose, mushroom, cactus, red rose).

Bring the medicine to Dr. Rodham and then leave the clinic. Turn around and re-enter the clinic and Nate Trotter is fine. Go in back and get his flute.

Get the book from Oona at the bar.

Wander up and down Main Street until the split.

---SPLIT---

Go to the bank, combination is 8-23-41.

Find Jackalope behind Farmer Quist's chicken coop.

Find Laurel (likely outside the Hard Drive), and make sure she agrees to see him before quitting her dialogue.

Return to Jackalope with the good news.

Go to the bar and talk to Mez until he starts a dialogue with "No cards..."

Bounty Hunter Gunfight outside. There's an RNG aspect to how they spawn so not much advice there.

Return to the Hard Drive and get the relic from Mez. Be careful not to get sucked into a game of cards.

Head back to the hotel and make sure you give Buick a buck before you go to bed.

---SPLIT---

Go to the Hard Drive. Talk to Jackalope, Nate, and Jackalope again, and then head outside.

The Kid's goons, like the bounty hunters, have an RNG aspect.

As far as I can tell, you cannot trigger the kid further down the street to speed up his High Noon walk. Just walk straight down Main Street towards the town gate when you finish off the last gunmen (the set of 3 by the Mission).

To throw off The Kid: Librarian, Buckethead, Silk Long Johns, Prarie Dog, and offer him a light.

Shoot The Kid and get the Knife.

---SPLIT---

Head into the mission and speak with Sonoma. Head further inside and place the Emblem you got from the bank in the lockbox.

Head back into the mission plaza and click on the fountain to descend.

---SPLIT---

All instructions for the wheel are from top to bottom, and the symbols for the Thunderbird puzzle are in my shorthand. I highly recommend checking the VOD for my run if they are not intuitive. These can be done in any order:

Blue, left side black moon, pink, right door: Stick your flute in the hole and hit notes (1 being the top hole) 35241.

Green, white moon, blue, door behind you: Stick your crest into the indentation and enter symbols "man, horsekey, tent, square with curve above, doublekey"

Yellow, black moon, yellow, left door: Sun Crest Puzzle. My method for this puzzle is brute forcing it, but solving it legitimately would likely save a lot of time. See the VOD for details on how to brute force it.

Red, right side black moon, green - follow mask through maze, apply mask to dude.

After completing all of the above:

Green, white moon, green - chest appears, open it, grab it, talk to Raddison.

Put your crest back into the device, and enter symbols "Man, horsekey, Dreamcast swirl, square with curve, A."

---SPLIT---

RUN to Oona and skip everyone's dialogue. Take off with the loot at the end to have the least to skip.
