Hello!! This past Tuesday 19th has been Drakengard 3's 10th anniversary!

The community organized a small hang out at the DrakeNieR Speedruns Discord Server to celebrate it and we will be running some stuff tomorrow starting at 2:00 pm EST. Anyone is welcome to come and participate or just be around!

Hey gamers!!

There are a few announcements to make. First of all, we have a new mod: @aloyark! We are working on adding more stuff, so keep an eye for it! If you ever have any doubts about the rules, the game or anything feel free to ask any of us as always. You can find us in the English Discord Server: DrakeNier Speedruns Discord Server.

Now we will be talking about a new rule as we just found out a new pre-run setup on the DLC that affects the whole game: Idle Enemy Bug and it will be banned.

It has been found at the final camp of sister One's DLC. If we quit out while on this section, most enemy AI in the game will go inactive until it gets reactivate on certain shmups or until we properly finish this section.

This could cause an unfair advantage in certain categories (Although usually having idle enemies isn't that good either if you want to be fast, it depends on where it's used) and because of such it has been banned. Please, make sure you don't have it before starting a run or it will be rejected, no matter the circumstances.

Lock-On fix will still be allowed as it is not related to this bug.

And to finish it off, this December 19th is Drakengard 3's 10th anniversary!!!! We have been planning to do some races on that day, I think most of us are gonna be doing different Sisters DLCs runs or Any% but feel free to come and hang out in the Discord Server linked above if you want too! Anyone is welcomed to participate!

Now for the news:

There have been quite a lot of updates to the Drakengard 3 Boards again! Hopefully next week is the last of the updates and the board lists everything as it should. I'll list the changes that have been made today:

**BOARD CHANGES: ** ✦ For starters, the Sisters DLC have been moved from ILs and now they have their own designated category for better visibility and to open up for Any%/All Endings ILs. Most runs have already been moved as of now and the IL versions will stay up for a week, then they will be removed and Sisters DLC ILs will be replaced with the main game ILs. I'll notify again with more info once these changes go live next week. ✦ The board now shows miliseconds as well. I plan to update the PBs currently in the board throughout the week. ✦ [A] DLC tab have been moved a bit and is now to the right of [A] NG

UPDATED RULES: ✦ Modded PlayStation 3s are now allowed! Go get that SSD. Thanks a lot to Chien's comparison videos and testing! ✦ All Endings NG+ verses must be played in unlocking order. (This is how it is for all the other NG+ categories and now it applies to All Endings NG+ as well. Before, in All Endings NG+ you were able to play them in the order they appear in Chapter Select. This made some menuing features from the game pointless and the rules weren't discussed much when the category was made.)

NEW RULES: ✦ ** House Skip (A skip that skips over the walking section in the Chapter 1 Verse 1 House, right after prologue, only possible in NG categories) is banned from all categories**. According to testing, we suppose it's related to your own specs and that's why it's so inconsistent. ✦ For verification purposes, runs played from January 16th 2023 must require their VODs to show the "Mission Complete" menu of the last verse of the category played up until "Treasure Found".

We are gonna update the rules of the run since the ones that were in SRDC were out of date and inaccurate, they have now been changed. We will also add some small changes to the timing for each of the Sister's DLC as some of these end differently than others. We also have ideas to change the way [B] and [C] runs work, these changes are shown in the document linked below as well. Runs currently in these boards will be retimed if the changes go through. We are open for opinions.

Please make sure to read these if you plan to run soon since one of the new rules for emulator is to enable a FPS counter of the game into your video proof after August 1st of 2022.
