Hello, are there any skips and glitches in this game? If so, does anyone have knowledge on who & when they were discovered?

I know there is a OOB glitch in the PS2 version but I don't run it

so the big "skip" in this game isnt really a sequence break, but there is an OOB that let us gain access to an area of the game that you dont normally have access to without the godbird soulstone. there isnt much of anything in this area progression wise, but it does allow us to get encounters that can have formations with up to 7 liquid metal slimes, which is REALLY good for exp farming. outside of that, there isnt much else in terms of glitches in the ps2 version. 3DS is pretty glitch free as well

Hey, I saw this and wanted to quickly post- I have no idea if this is helps speed running but I wanted to post this as it happened while I was playing DQ8 Emulated today with a bunch of mates on Discord. So myself and a few other people can confirm that we did 'somehow' clip out of bounds.

So, I had just finished getting Marik back from the herb grotto where we then went back to his room in Orkutsk. The cut-scene where he explains that his mother might be the sage heir played out normally but as it ended, Hero was pushed into the wall next to the large cupboard in the room and clipped out of bounds between the hallway wall and the room next door. I have not tried replicating this and I did not get any evidence at the time.

Now, I have a theory as to how it happened- I think I managed to get into the area where the guard stands 'after' the cut-scene ends before he is placed into the world. This is purely speculative however...

I've not seen any other information about this so far and I do not think that this would help any run as its very specific, but who knows...

Sorry for using this thread, I just looked for DQ 8 glitches online and immediately got shoved here- made an account and documented this weird occurrence today
