DL Adventure 1.0 Any% w/Setup Glitched Route (by ennopponetwelve)

NOTE: This route requires downpatching your game, please see the downpatching guide for more details. It also requires a setup file. It is recommended that your setup file has purchased as many good items (rainbow rarity) and consumables as possible. Do not beat Marco if you use the current patch to make your setup file, as you must be able to rematch him on the old patches for this route to work.

Things to avoid throughout the run: opening your menu while in the overworld (wastes a lot of time due to repeating dory tutorial), talking to totem poles (this will hardlock your game and the save file cannot be recovered, just don't do it)

CS (knock out Marco before mom cutscene triggers, you do this by skipping your special until he's at ~300 HP, then hit him with a special)

Exit to title screen after talking to Marco and Mom and watching credits

Create a new duck, start timer (you should be able to tell if it works if you get the "complete all quests" quest while walking to the sewer)

After Dory is done talking, walk up into the first tournament, do the first battle (equips: ice sword, ice armor, ice helmet, use a burger and protein shake at beginning)

Get 1 jumping

Get 50 special

Get 10 endurance

Battle Dory at the bridge in the North, head North after

Race/battle Santa (freeze him when he's climbing, use burgers to survive the battle, equips: dragon armor+helmet, rocket or ice sword)

Get 1 flying

Go to city, enter dojo

SHOOT (use arrow keys to select locked minigames, press space to enter them)

Train strength to ~80, with the other skills being in the mid-to-high 50s (minus swimming/jumping)

Buy as many battle items as you can

For races: freeze ducks when they climb

For battles: equip items that resist their attacks, weapons that they are weak to, and only use battle items when needed

Marco: same race strategy, equip robot armor/helmet and rocket for battle. Freeze him when his special is charged, use protein shakes/burgers/weather to survive, and try to do the mom skip again for extra time save.

DL Adventure 1.0 NG+ Tutorial (by ennopponetwelve)

General Battle Strategy: equip armor that resists their attack type, equip weapons that attack their weakness, equip ice sword if they have none or have water weakness.

Enter Final Tourney (quit first race and battle to skip them)

Race strategies, boost as soon as it starts, toss banana, freeze them whenever they climb if they’re too close.

Marco race: freeze him after the first jump, he gets stuck in lava for a little bit. While you’re ahead, drop bananas, boost a lot, eat energy bars to replenish energy. Freeze him again if he gets too close.

Marco battle: if done optimally with rocket, you can skip the last two fights. Lower his armor with weather powerups/crits, when it’s almost done use a protein shake and then crit him with your special.

DL Adventure Downpatching Tutorial (by ennopponetwelve)

If you are interested in running the glitched categories in this game, you will need to play on an earlier patch than what is currently available on Steam. This guide will teach you how to access a patch that makes these glitches possible.

NOTE: This only works on the Steam version of the game. As a result, it is required that you own both a Steam account and Duck Life Adventure.

This tutorial does not use Duck Life Adventure, but the process is the same aside from what needs to be typed into CMD. If you follow this video, see step 4 for what you should type when doing this for Adventure.

Text Tutorial:

1. Download and install .NET Core 3.1.X (the numbers after 3.1 don't matter, just get a version of 3.1): https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet

2. Download and unzip DepotDownloader (the video uses an earlier version, but the 2.4.0 prerelease build works as well): https://github.com/SteamRE/DepotDownloader/releases/tag/DepotDownloader_2.4.0

3. Open the DepotDownloader folder that you just unzipped (it should be called depotdownloader-2.4.0-prerelease if you downloaded 2.4.0), type "CMD" into the address bar, and press enter. It should look like this before you press enter: https://i.imgur.com/uDO0547.png 

4. Type or copy/paste the following command into CMD, change the Steam username and password to match your account, and press enter. Provide your Steam Guard code and press enter again if needed:

5. When the download is done, check your "depots" folder inside of the depotdownloader folder you have. Assuming you haven't downpatched any other games, you should have a folder called ".DepotDownloader" and one that looks like a bunch of random numbers, click on the numbers folder. Another folder of numbers should appear after doing that, click on that as well. You should then see a "Duck Life Adventure" folder, click on that.

6. Inside the Duck Life Adventure folder, you should see an exe called "Adventure", use this exe whenever you would like to play on the earlier patch. Your Steam download of the game still uses the current patch so launching from Steam WILL NOT WORK.

DL1 any% blindfolded Guide

I will start with the detailed walkthrough and then provide a template at the end

To start, this run is done ENTIRELY on your keyboard, the only time you need your mouse is to preposition for the start or if you're unlucky and don't have a proper 'menu' key to act as your right click 
(I will assume you have a menu key, but if you don't all 'menu's can just be seen as right clicks they do the same thing)


Complicated Version:

Hit 'clear' in the menu to bring up the 'clear' text. Preposition your cursor on the 'o' in "your" located on the last line of the 'clear' text [YOU CAN DO THIS WITHOUT THE BLINDFOLD. TIME HAS NOT STARTED YET] 
This is where the out of bounds seed will go to and that should be right on the duck (those with menu keys, congrats you don't have to touch your mouse any more)

Tab over to the 'menu' button

[Start time] (i use the 'r' key as my start bind since it is easiest to locate b/c it is in easy proximity to the 'f' key)
SPACE

Time to use out of bounds seed to get your duck to 10 flying + energy. Do TAB LEFT LEFT LEFT to get to the out of bounds seed
Press SPACE to feed the seed. Once you pressed space once, you can do LEFT LEFT LEFT to get back to the seed without using TAB (this window is generous and should not be difficult at all to do)
Feed your duck 17 seed. Make sure you aren't going too fast or you will seed glitch which is a problem since 17 is an exact amount and seed glitching once will kill the run. The problem is obviously that you can't see when you seed glitch so make sure you're careful. You can go to 18 seed for safety it will lose a few seconds however that are extremely difficult to make back.

After your 17th seed, you will be hovering over your flying level. Once you think the duck is done eating, RIGHT DOWN SPACE to get into running training.

Time to train running. Press SPACE to start. If you notice, the running music always starts with a distinct *bummm bummm bummm* low beat. ALWAYS jump on this second beat; this will get you over the first ball and that's all you need.
Your duck will eventually die on the second ball [there is rng involved with this that will be covered shortly]. You will know you lost once the music changes.
Now for the fun part: depending on your rng with the first ball, you will need to RCB/RCF *[MENU B MENU F]* anywhere from 28-32 times. I feel 32 is the most common so default to 32 unless you feel you got good rng and the second ball took longer to kill you.
*COUNT YOUR RCB/RCFs off of the Bs so once you hit 28-32, you don't keep going*
Now that you believe you are done running training, TAB RIGHT ENTER to get out of running *DO NOT PRESS SPACE YOU MUST PRESS ENTER OR YOU WILL START ANOTHER RUNNING TRAINING*

You should find yourself back in the main menu and you SHOULD have 150 running. (but there's no way for you to know for sure until you try the champ Kappa)

Time for swimming now. Since you're in the main menu, TAB RIGHT SPACE to get into the race menu. Again, a music change should let you know you are in the race menu.
RCB/RCF this time is from 18-22. Again, I suggest defaulting to 22 unless you really think your running rng was good or you need serious timesave. Again, count on the Bs and end on an F to leave you in the race menu.

You're in the home stretch now! TAB DOWN DOWN to get to the advanced races and then TAB DOWN DOWN DOWN to get to 3-4
Again, the race music should start now once you enter 3-4 (or I at least hope you're in 3-4 Kappa) so now it's time to RCF to skip the race then RCF to champ. Then, TAB SPACE to start the champ race.
Simply - (TAB DOWN DOWN) (TAB DOWN DOWN DOWN) (RCF x2) (TAB SPACE) and then pray that you have 150 run and swim. If you don't you just lose so have fun.

The race music will hopefully abruptly end which means you most likely beat the champ. Once you hear this cue, press your split button and congrats! You're a masochist!
