2020 Switch Any% (No Wheel)

Note: The switch version does not have the weapon upgrade downgrade glitch patched, to slightly counteract this make sure to never open your menu and especially dont hover over your weapon and gear
only upgrade or equip your stuff in the tourney (when you race a dude and it gives the option to change what you want to wear)
Note 2: The minigames on switch seem to give you experience slower overall, so while the route does save significant chunks of time due to KMS (Kill screen minigame skip) it loses a lot of that time due to the minigames that you have to play either for coins or for KMS being overall slower
 
There are some potential improvements of this route that may need to be timed
    doing more Speed in Mountains as the KMS is fast, but this also cuts back on coins gained in egypt (Which are critical in a noWheelrun)
 
Note on the wheel: In the switch version and probably Xbone, you can spin the wheel repeatadly to get whatever you want, a potential upside for this in the future is not only getting some levels, but getting more coins to skip minigames such as Power 35 in Grassland, and to make Egypt safer as the second battle in the Egypt tourney seemingly relies on RNG if you dont have enough coins to upgrade your science suit to level 4 for both of them
 
KMS: To do this glitch you must first lose the minigame. Then on the death screen hit pause and the game will "unpause" and will continue to give you experience after the fact
    in some situations you can just put down the joycons and sit there, in others the minigame will stop if you "die" again and you have to hit pause again.

2021 any% early fly route

A new glitch was found which allows you to fly without having to complete Egypt tourney. To do this glitch when leaving a menu to the overworld spam click where the fly button normally is (to the right of the inventory) it will show the fly menu and you can fly.
 This does not unlock the ability to naturally fly though.

 This run also uses another glitch known as kms. To activate it die while using keyboard controls in a minigame then pause the game with controller controls (if you don't have a controller that's fine just edit the x button in the input section when you open the game to any button you want).
 
Press the x on the pause box with your mouse and if you did it right it will give you levels slowly (if you ever die during kms just pause twice and click the x again and it will start again).

THE ROUTE
-Getting into the city through early fly is a bit different from normal early fly: when you enter the early fly menu press a with the controller and click on the inventory bag. then with your controller go right, right then down then press a.

-Go to the grand dojo and get these stats in any order.

-Farm special 100 (pause and mash space Strat).

-Farm speed 100 (when you see a double press just start mashing the keys).

-Egypt health kms 100 (constantly spam the left arrow key, and don't 
push the bomb into your face to kill yourself).

-Egypt defense 100.

-Egypt power 100 (mash the controller pause button to freeze the AI).

-Go to the shop and buy the chain armor and the laser beam.

-Enter the tourney and upgrade the laser beam and if you can't or got it to level 5 and still have money upgrade your armor.

2025 Any% guide (current WR route)

**Farm**

- Once you enter the training building, press a button on your controller and close the popup window with your mouse (this is to make KMS more consistent for Farm Defence)
- Training : Speed 20 KMS (do the 1s normally, then spam as soon as it starts doing the 2s, then do KMS and keep spamming every key)
- Early Fly + Early City (press a controller button twice to switch to controller, then flick the left stick down twice and press cross/A/whatever the down face button is named on your controller)

**City 1**

- Training (Grand Dojo) : Desert Power 100, Farm Special 140 (it depends on your spamming speed and how well you can keep it for long periods of time, but personally I have to spam for a bit over 5 minutes), Farm Speed 100 (don't do KMS here, do the 1s then spam every key as soon as it starts giving you 2s and do that again until you get to level 100)
- Buy the Laser Gun and the Leaves Armor + Helmet in the shop, then go back in the Grand Dojo to Early Fly to Desert

**Desert**

- Training : Defence 80 KMS (keep playing the minigame during KMS), Health 80 KMS (keep playing during KMS so you can get coins). You should take this opportunity to check if you have 140 special or not ; if you don't, you should get the remaining levels as soon as you get to City again.
- Do the tourney, upgrade Laser Gun to lv5 and equip everything before the first guy (you can also just equip the Laser Gun here and equip the armor before the City tourney to save some time)
- Regular Fly + Early City (Early Fly doesn't work in Desert afaik, probably due to the fly button being placed to the right side of the screen instead of the left side)

**City 2**

- Just beat the final tourney to finish the game (unless you don't have enough Special to enter the tourney, in which case you should get the remaining levels before heading to the tourney).

2025 Glitchless guide (current WR route)

**Farm**

- Training : Defence 20, Health 20, Power 20, Special 20 (use controller pause button and mash your mouse + spacebar at the same time for optimal speed, keep training for ~16 more seconds to get additional coins), Speed 20 (do the 1s then spam every key as soon as it starts giving you 2s and do that again until you get to level 20)
- Buy Boomerang in the shop and do the 3 battles.

**Forest**

- Training : Health 24, Power 40, Special 40, Speed 40
- Buy Pie in the shop and do the tourney, upgrade Pie to lv2 before the first guy (you can upgrade weapons and armor during the loading screen).

**Mountain**

- Training : Defence 60, Power 60
- Buy Shovel, Rain Coat and Rain Hat in the shop and do the tourney (don't upgrade anything).

**Desert**

- Training : Defence 80, Health 80, Power 80 (you can pause buffer to stall the enemy ducks but it's not required if you're good enough), Speed 80
- Fight the blue duck on the way to the shop so you can get Watergun
- Do the tourney, upgrade Watergun to lv4 before the first guy.

**Swamp**

- Training : Defence 100, Health 100 (just hold right to get XP)
- Do the tourney, upgrade Watergun to lv5 before the first guy.

**City**

- Training (Grand Dojo) : Desert Power 100 (Farm Power may also be viable, I should probably do more testing), Farm Special 100, Farm Speed 100 (same strat as in the farm)
- Buy Laser Gun in the shop and do the tourney, upgrade Laser Gun to lv3 before the first guy.

2025 No Early Fly guide (optimal route as of 25 March 2025)

**Farm**

- Once you enter the training building, press a button on your controller and close the popup window with your mouse (this is to make KMS more consistent for Farm Defence)

- Training : Defence 6 KMS (keep playing the minigame during KMS), Health 20 KMS, Power 14, Special 20 (use controller pause button and mash your mouse + spacebar at the same time for optimal speed, keep training for ~15 more seconds to get additional coins), Speed 20 KMS (do the 1s normally, then spam as soon as it starts doing the 2s, then do KMS and keep spamming every key)

- Buy Boomerang in the shop and do the 3 battles. For the orange duck (middle one), skip the special by spamming the mouse before your turn (it's not needed since he dies anyway with a regular attack, and it saves time)

**Forest**

- Training : Health 36 KMS, Power 40 KMS (be careful, as you have to click in a different spot than usual since the pause screen is rotated for some reason), Speed 40 (as long as you can do it in 1-2 cycles doing it glitchless saves time over KMS)

- Do the tourney and upgrade Boomerang to lv3 before the first guy (you can upgrade weapons and armor during the loading screen). For the second guy, once he gets to low HP (under 50), do the special skip again like for the orange duck in Farm.

**Mountain**

- Training : Defence 60 KMS (press a button on your controller after doing KMS for the first time, then every time it stops : click in the spot where you would normally click to start KMS, and press a button again, I usually press a button twice to make sure it counts properly as I've had some issues with it previously), Power 60 KMS

- Buy Shovel and Rain Hat in the shop and do the tourney (don't upgrade anything).

**Desert**

- Training : Defence 80 KMS (keep playing the minigame during KMS), Health 80 KMS (keep playing during KMS so you can get coins), Power 80 (you can pause buffer to stall the enemy ducks but it's not required if you're good enough), Speed 80

- Fight the blue duck on the way to the shop so you can get Watergun
- Do the tourney, upgrade Watergun to lv4 before the first guy.

**Swamp**

- Training : Defence 100 KMS (restart every ~5 levels when the bombs start appearing faster, do the same strat that you did in Mountain Defence if you stop getting XP), Health 100 (just hold right to get XP), Power 100 KMS (keep playing the minigame to get coins to be safe, but I'm not completely sure it's needed)
- Do the tourney, upgrade Watergun to lv5 before the first guy.

**City**

- Training (Grand Dojo) : Farm Special 100, Farm Speed 100 (don't do KMS here, do the 1s then spam every key as soon as it starts giving you 2s and do that again until you get to level 100)
- Buy Laser Gun in the shop and do the tourney, upgrade Laser Gun to lv2 before the first guy.

EDIT 2026-02-14 : Removed Mountain Speed from the route, as it turns out that Desert Speed is faster if you get good cycles

How to downpatch the game

You can use DepotDownloader to downpatch the game to an older update, as a recent update made the XP gain in Swamp Health significantly slower. I won't be going into detail as to how to use DepotDownloader here as there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube on how to use it, so I'll just give important information specific to this game.

NG+ route

This run uses a glitch that works on both the Steam and Mobile versions but requires some setup to be useful

Step 1: play through the game normally and unlock swimming

Step 2: train your duck so it can quickly defat the City's arena

when using the Grand Dojo to gain levels it can only get you to level 999 IDK why they didn't cap it at level 1000, doing it this way is really slow but there is a much faster way

there is a purple duck next to the Grand Dojo who sells training seeds normal and super seeds and unlike the Grand Dojo there is no cap for the training seeds don't have a cap

the normal seeds cost 50 coins and boost each stat by 1 level, the super seeds cost 200 coins and boost each stat by 5 levels

the best way to farm coins is to repeatedly do the City's arena, it cost 30 coins to enter but gives you 300 coins for winning

Step 3: once you are happy with your stats levels, do the glitch

to do the glitch you first need to close your game and open it again, then you need to go to the character creator and close your game again, this close can be done at any point between choosing your ducks color and to intro cutscene but as long as you close your game before gameplay starts.

if done correctly you will come back and skip the character creator and the intro cutscene, if you didn't name your duck before closing your game your duck won't have a name

no mater what you will always loose all of your armor, weapons, coins, and, game progress, but your duck will spawn with the abilities and stats you had on your previous play session, so if you have unlocked swimming and say have level 2000 speed before you do the glitch you will keep it after you do the glitch, you can easily grab the bubble wand for a strong weapon, then the only thing remaining is to quickly get 30 coins so you can enter the City's arena.

if you just want to do a fast run you will need 200 strength and speed to 1-shot all 3 enemy ducks with the bubble wand, but if you want the fastest posable time you will need to get your strength to a point where you can 1-shot all 3 ducks without the bubble wand (I'm still working on finding out just how strong you need to be to 1-shot all 3 ducks without the bubble wand)
