Empty splits for Any% with Death Abuse in mind specifically. It contains icons, as well as abbreviations in brackets which may help you with the route of this category.

The abbreviations mean the following:

SE - Exit the stage with the secret exit.

SE1 - Exit the stage with the first secret exit.

DA - Death Abuse. Die 8 times in a row.

CP1 - Play until the first checkpoint and then do the Death Abuse. Dying from this checkpoint is the fastest method.

shop (28) - Before going into 2-5, go into the shop after the 2-4 DA and buy around 28 red balloons for the remaining Death Abuses in the run. 28 is a decent amount, since you can still die a few times and the route should work. To be extra save, you can also buy a few more if you have enough coins (keep the Any% DA ruleset in mind, start the run with 0 bananas and coins!).

Switch Kong - It is fastest to switch from Funky Kong -> Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong -> Funky Kong here for faster (but more difficult strats). Switching is entirely optional for most beginners though. Do the strats that are the best for you first and give the most amount of consistency.
