Switch 2 has a faster load times (3 minutes according to LetsUigi56) than original Switch. Will there be a separate category for Switch 2 speedruns or will they be in the same category?

I do not use discord for personal reasons. Could someone tell me when it's decided?

Whenever the conversation is over and decided. You'll see a new subcategory or not when it's decided.

The majority opinion was for a split (which was decided a little while ago), and it's now been implemented - the Switch 2 runs that have been done so far should start to show up in the coming days.

If Switch 2 does indeed have significantly faster loading times than the original Switch (by several minutes), it's likely that speedrun communities will split into two separate categories or adopt loadless timings to ensure fairness.
