Any% basic strats notes

In general try to avoid wild encounters and fight DiscRs for EXP. Some are difficult which i havent noted down which ones yet

episode 1

Pick starters: Flamorb, Bladeguin, Any other
Get batel (given to you) and tomatee discs, install them and add Batel into 3rd team slot

BOSS PUZZ
weak to Grass, Magic, Metal 
resists Flame, Wind, Ice

Moveset: Defend, Intimidate, Encourage/Trip, Attack
"spinning" text means Puzz will use Panic (use Trip)
"split off" = Rock Blast (use Defend)
Spam intimidate to lower Puzz's E and spam encourage to boost your attack. Attack when Puzz e-charges

episode 2

TODRY: Pick Earth (there might be an easier type not tried them all yet)
Dont attack Meyemicks first turn, set up instead or attack other enemy etc
Set Battlemetronome to Presto setting

Darklops and Mimisc
Try not to buy any items yet, we need about 30-35 HiSpeed Memory for Jeggs. There are enough HiSpeed Memories in overworld items for Darklops and Mimisc. Trainer above the Juggian Woods Fake DisCafe gives out 3x HiSpeeds if you need them.

Work way through woods and get a Darklops disc, get Mimisc disc from the secret path below the scarecrow corridor. Pick up the overworld items near him. Carry on through Juggian Woods with current team.

BOSS SCAREFOLK
weak to Flame, Wind
resists Grass, Magic
Tactic: Batel should know Poison Ball to inflict Toxic. Watch out for Ice Spear.

episode 3

When at Pecan Forest Safe Zone, swap out Flamorb for Tomatee
TOMA BATTLE
Tomate: N/A
Bladeguin: Splash, Ice Blade, Intimidate, Trip
Batel: Razor Wind, Encourage, Spook, Poison Ball
Tactics: First turn with Tomate use a Stamin on either ally
Focus Clawdaddy first, Trip and attack him with Razor wind. Then take out Flamorb then Tomatee
2nd Battle:
Same again, take out Clawdaddy first. Poison Great Tomate, take out Flamorb. Encourage if needed.

After beating Toma, swap out Tomate for Darklops and swap out Batel for Mimisc
Sell any extra discs and buy enough HiSpeed Memories from the Cafe (stock up no more than 35) maybe a couple healing items if your low
Go to the restaurant and level up Darklops & Mimisc to level 12
Optional strat: Swap out Mimisc for Batel again for the Zombitom fight, or just use Mimisc
Head back to Lycium town

ZOMBITOM
Weak to Wind, so use Wing Slash on Bladeguin and Razor Wind with Batel if you have him still in your team. Darklops can use Poison/Trip and Attack. Mimisc can use Howling for damage. 
Swap out Batel for Mimisc if you used Batel again

Head to Mond Tunnel, get the disc recorder (in the 2nd room, go round the path of rocks to the top-right room and beat the 3 wild enemies and it will drop down) equip DiscRecorder and farm for 6 Jeggs

Head to Pista Port and sell Jeggs/Buy 3x Peppy Parkas from the lower left house (takes a couple trips back and forth since the max money you can hold is 999 pico) equip all of your team with Peppy Parkas. Also buy ~35 stink bombs and sell the 6th jegg disc to use on some healing items and reboot capsules

Head to Pista Grotto, make sure when you get to boss Mimisc at least knows Shadow Attack or even better Pull Under

BOSS AQUATOID
Weak to Ice, Spirit
Resists Flame, Stone, Wind, Earth
Use Physical moves on the Babool. 

episode 4

Beat blubzilla. Dont use Trip on him.

Head to Mond Tunnel Depths, get to levels 26/27 as Darklops and Mimisc will learn Psychoslash, Blaze Slash, Metal Cutter etc
VIPEWORM resists metal

BOSS CLAYMORE
Resists Metal
Weak to Water
Make sure you have enough E before you wipe out Claymore as it will split into Big Clud and Little Clud. Then just focus Attacking Big Clud dont use buff/debuff moves. They will rejoin as Claymore again, wipe it out again then you should be able to wipe out Big Clud, then attack Lil Clud.

episode 5

Careful of wild encounters, use popper on the Ampord trio if you have to. Pull Under on Zasps.

BOSS ROGK
Rogk is weak to Magic, Metal Spirit
You want to use Physical moves on Rogk and Mind moves on the Metawol.
First have both Darklops and Mimisc poison/target Rogk, a Metawol will always cover for one of your attacks so both a Metawol and Rogk can be poisoned. You can do this with trips too. Initmidates can be useful here until you think you can wipe out. Remember to keep track of the attack order, since you have to plan who uses a Mind/Physical move so a Metawol covers for a Mind move then Rogk gets attacked with Physical.

Get the superfruit, head to pista port and go down to Porka. Head to Mt Azel
Work way through to the top, buy items at Cafe if needed

BOSS YUKINE/LANTOCK (Fire moves are banned)
Both weak to metal. Have Metal Cutter on Darklops/Mimisc
Darklops: Metal, Trip, Poison, Bluff
Mimisc: Spook, Metal Attack, Poison, Initimidate
Bladeguin: Diver, Trip, Initmidate, Slice

Try to get off poison, spam Bluff/Initimidate on Yukine a couple times  to weaken her attacks and then finish her off with attacks.

episode 6

head to Juglan Village go to Dr. Greypes building
Use Mind moves/toxic on the robot battle

Moveset for final boss should focus on Defending as you only need to survive 15 rounds. Use bluff on scourghan and just defend etc
