Maybe you told them it was 4:54? Because wr would be 4:54, not 4:54:00 which you got.
Because the the numbers would be the same. You have to have a video of the run by the way. Maybe that's why they won't accept. (And 4:54 is the human limit)
Are the fast accel frames as follows: 1: L + B 2: B 3: R + A + B 4: R + B and then play rest of the level with R + B Or 1: L + B 2: R + A + B 3: R + B and then play the rest of the level with R + B I think it's the first but yah (which saves most frames)

I don't think, but as long as you don't jump really high and only stay low, you shouldn't die. It's a pain in the butt to memorize tons of patterns and it would take forever to recognize them.
Maybe you are using a PAL rom. Try to patch it with an American or Japanese rom instead. Or the file is corrupt.

I think this would be a fun category, and grabbing the flag would be a little bit easier. The time would be significantly slower than any% because how "grabbing the flag: top or bottom" works.
