nvm I realized the mistake is rather v1.6.2 has "beating Green Hill Run 3" instead of "beating Seaside Hill Run 3" very easy fix
also while I'm here probably should clarify that ARS v1.6.1 has 41 run stages and the run still ends with Wonderland, its just that we also have to do Desert Ruins 3 and Chemical Plant 4, my suggestion would be to have an
"Added levels or Don't Do: A B"
for the respective category version's rules page
Got this fixed, thanks for the update. Also did a little formatting to the rules since SRC pushed a silent update that makes the rules look so much nicer now
Runners how do we feel about making Unrestricted a sub category with the legendary skills being sold for 500,000 rings each, doesn't have to be implemented now but I'd like to play around with it for SC Global Set and ARS v1.6.0. CallieMacN suggests to only do universal skills though I'm not sure on the thoughts on that.
It would be nice, and maybe doable since some are being sold, however 500k is still very steep and even I struggle to get that amount (not me just wasting my rings on extra pulls just before it came out 😭). Maybe this is more so for those that actually have a run on the board tho 😅 Plus do we know if some character ones will be available like Shadow's Doom Wings? Because that will open up the run a lot. Then again, it could even be split even more into legendary universal and legendary character skills. But I might be looking too far into the future of a very small game

I believe ive added the two boards i needed (ARS and All Stages) and fixed the rules. Please let me know if i am missing something
All runs have now been verified (even your very recent submission Baku lmao), and as I said earlier, Version Set 1.6.2 was added. Just going to make sure the rules on the boards are ok and we should be back on track with things :)

Just wanting to give you all a quick update. I'm currently getting ready to fully move house. We are doing a lot of small things everyday after work and just have some final things to move and get and then I've another project that I'm working on during the weekends that will be finishing soon. Because of this I've had no time to verify runs just yet. But hopefully by the end of the month, I'll be able to jump onto the pc and verify a bunch at once.

Is this forum thread a bit redundant since we have category suggestions? I know it's basically used as an update thread but it might be best to make a new thread with all the previous updates together and lock it so people cannot comment on it. We would only unlock it to add a new update. Just make the forum a liiiittle bit neater. It also means I could pin it too
I'm gonna ask the mods about making a mobile category (including java, old smart phone games and probably the likes of dreM team too) in the Sonic Speedrun Community server so we have a more dedicated space and it will be easier to find rather than a thread in the main game server

I was debating actually having a Version 1.5.0 set as BakuhatsuEntei has evidence of it, however it goes to level 48 (Green Hill Run 3) so I don't know if it's worth it for a difference of 2 levels

Looks like we got a delayed level update again, we got up to level 50 in all category 😭 so we now have 1.6.0 as well. Maybe it was a good thing that I haven't fixed the boards just yet
There was some interest but the issue with single level runs is that the game is constantly updating and changing so the IL boards would get very messy because SRC doesn't offer nice solutions for various IL categories having differing amounts of levels
Looks like we have 3 submissions, I'll make the board now and verify Zendigo's run for it, @mbrine and @Greenlion feel free to submit yours when you see this. I know the boards are a bit messy rn. I'll need to merge the categories for stage challenge and make the version number a variable but this is here for now
Mbrine your timing was off, timing starts when you select yes to solo play or practice mode so from your video, it looks like a 58m 24s 950ms. Used yt-frame-timer
I know yours was a demo run greenlion but I got 1h 00m 08s 150ms using the same website
