hi back royal, as a fellow runner who was also a toddler when the game came out, that also likes hollow knight. i might be considered "experienced" but i have some nice feats achieved, so i hope you will accept my tips, firs of all, DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF, other runners have years of experience, as you mentioned, and many of them are skilled in this level of play, there is a reason that your timer says: "compare against personal best" if you improve, that is a win, no matter how small. second tip, DO NOT RESET, even if you realize your run will not be PB, you should still continue, it will make you more consistent in late game, and it will give you some time to train on specififc parts, if you won't post this run, make use of it. third and final tip: (sorry for the yapping), guides are your best friend, you do not have to figure out the route yourself, there are a ton of tutorials and guides out there, i suggest firb0rn, really nice speedrunner. and that's it, PS: it's fine if you don't use mods, (i don't) you can always use godhome to practice a boss or return to a specific place to do a skip.

Thank you, i understand, i will put my runs on PC, even though i am not taking any advanteges, i cannot downpatch it because i am running on an UltraWide monitor, so it will look kinda crappy. and i am on 60 fps, so no smooth advanteges.

i am struggling to choose between the two, because the console categroy is very uncontested, so i have a higher chance to get a better place, but the PC has the timer and the autosplit.

anyway, if i do choose to swap to console, how will the timing work? will the verifiers time it themselves? and there will be no pauses om transitions between rooms.

so, i finished a run, i used my PC but connected a controller, what a category should i submit to?

"Console runs" OR "any%"

and after that what should i put in the "platform" section? PC or Ps5?
