Most of our discussion about Category Extensions (which is the correct home for many arbitrary goal categories) happens in the #ss-misc-categories channel of the Hollow Knight Speedrunning Discord! (There is an invite link at the top of the page.) If you have a new category idea, it is recommended you ask about it there or search the Discord to gauge interest.
When you join the Discord, navigate to Channels & Roles and give yourself the Silksong Gamer role for access to Silksong channels. For now, channels shared with Hollow Knight shouldn't have Silksong spoilers
Another note: we highly recommend running some existing categories before exploring the creation of a new one. Recording and submitting a valid speedrun will give you a better perspective on the full process and will give you an idea of what makes a good speedrun category.
mods are working on a poll for several things, one of which is the details of 100% speedrun to be added later. that's why it's not here yet
If there were to be 100%, I say it would be to buy every 1-time item(so not including rosary neckless), every wish/quest whatever you call it, including ones from NPCs directly, not just the wishboards, MAYBE Act 3(I haven't gotten to yet but I heard of it), every mask shard and spool extension piece, all nail upgrades, every boss(even if not mandatory, however every boss is up to mods I'm just giving ideas for 100%), every crest, and basically everything you can do, and by every crest I understand that means the witch, but the witch has a cure I believe, so you can get rid of it. These are just my idea of a true 100% for Silksong, however maybe we could make it seprate of "100%" as a shortened version of this and add another category of "True 100%".
What you propose is closer to the "All achievements" run that HK already has. As Silksong has an ingame progress counter (it can be obtained in Act3), 100% would be no more than finishing Act3 with 100% progress. But as slaurent mentioned earlier today, there is a poll about it among other things, so let's stay tuned.

Then for 0 rosaries I’d suggest excluding mandatory rosaries, plus if you die twice without picking up the first death Cascoon, you’ll loose all of those rosaries, my main problem with this is that Act 2 becomes a nightmare this way, plus free benches are very limited, besides that, you can free the Bell Beast, but you can’t buy a single bellway station, meaning you have to travel longer each time, this means if you can’t get the bellway station in the Slab, you probably won’t be able to make it out if you get captured, leading to somebody’s idea of Life Sentence%.
A category of the three slaps that Hornet gives to Nuu, the doctor and Grindle.
I would recommend a phantom % just to get from the beginning of the game to beating phantom and getting the parry from it. And this would be a great contrast to Judgment %
A good idea could be to name it Sinners %
@Alloydomed Does that mean killing EVERY enemy or killable thing? Because that would require NEVER saving at a bench because that would reset all normal enemy spawns.
Has anyone considered a Hollow Knight and Silksong back to back any % category?
@Charmango I think there is? I haven’t looked or done a speedrun yet because I record on my phone camera, and you can’t post videos, so all I know is I think I saw an any% but I may be wrong.
a Minimum bosses run would be cool, ive seen some people theorise a route i think you would have to do a early mount fay and get to act 2 via the wisp thicket
