Texas, USAThis isn't a new trick either, this is called Banana Route and used to be done in SA1 sonic story runs for years before being timed to be much slower. Still a neat showcase regardless, but this is not a new discovery
There is a basic movement guide linked in Guides ( https://www.speedrun.com/Bubsy_4D/guides/gr82i ) which teaches you everything you need to know about Bubsy's movement. You're more than welcome to do runs excluding whatever tech you wish, but I personally do not see the need for a category designed specifically to take away Bubsy's core movement by limiting momentum chaining. This would be more akin to a challenge run, which you are more than welcome to submit, but will most likely not be getting its own category.
Can we have the GameCube Preview Disc added to this series? An All Demos category for that disc would be awesome
I agree w/ including everything. I think it would be more fun that way! The speedrun timer would still work for this category, but it might require a bit of math and a designated start/stop point

This is the first time any interest has been brought up for the Tech Demos. I can't really think of a worthwhile timing method for them beyond RTA-FullClear, so I'm not sure. If there is more interest in the future, we may consider adding them

Hi @yoshicheif, Thanks for posting! We'll be working to update the YAMLs as quickly as possible. If you would like to assist with building those and be brought on as a moderator, please let us know! Shadow has been confusing and unstable and tough to make a sensible leaderboard for, so we were waiting for community interest before adding the YAMLs. We also have not added Heroes to the board at all, as its in a similar state. It's tough to keep up to date with everything on our own, so if you'd like to help or if you know a good candidate please us know!
Any updates on this? It's been almost a year since the last discussion on the forum and I'd like to run w/e other potato categories are added.
You been providing keys to people and they haven't even bothered to do runs? If I find some time over the next few weeks I'll buy the game and do a run, looks pretty fun
Not only is your picture you linked private so no one can access it, but a picture off a TV can be very easily faked. I'm sure you could upload your run to The Sonic Center, as they don't require video proof.
Bumping on this thread again, Elgu had agreed several months ago to split Q3DC into a separate board on speedrun.com, but I believe this has not happened yet due to inactivity. If there is anyone who can contact a series mod to add the page more directly outside of SRC messages, that would be much appreciated!

There are runs on the board which use OMM Reborn, it's fine to use. It seems like the categories have been allowing multiple variations of the same moveset on the board, as the original sonic moveset is gone as well and replaced with SM Rebooted
