There is no mention that it's illegal to use a turbo controller in the rules, though.
Also, the problem is not the crash, the problem is pausing your timer while running.
A friendly reminder of some of the submitting rules, as you will need them:

As of right now we are not allowed to pause the run mid-game, even because of a game crash. This prevents abuses from runners, as the runs are fairly challenging cardio-wise, pausing is an unfair advantage to any players as they can catch their breath. If we are to allow pauses in the middle of a run, we might as well just allow segmented runs, and leave single-segment runs without pausing.
Another problem I ran through and never bothered solving is the duration of loadings. There is a significant difference in loading times throughout the runs that have been submitted, and I suspect M2s saves an absurd amount of time over SSDs and even more over HDDs. It would be interesting to request this information to submitters.

I currently have 7 awaiting submissions but oh man was it a pain to verify most of the submitted runs so far. So many of them have the shittiest quality, some just paused their run at the middle for no reason, which of course makes the run invalid, etc. Much, much more rejected runs than accepted runs, and those who got their runs rejected kept on submitting shitty runs as well.
I'm willing to give the torch to somebody else at this point

Thanks for all the answers everyone. I am currently making an explanatory video on what exactly is a glitch. Because the definition is all over the place and people can't seem to get along when it comes to define a glitch, as we saw here on this thread.
The video will make it very clear on what exactly is a glitch or not. However my intention is not to reopen discussion on various exploits and their bans or vice versa, I agree with what's currently banned and not banned in glitchless, for example. I just wanna point out that some exploits we call glitches, that I agree is banned in glitchless because it breaks the game too much, is not a glitch in it's definition.

The use of turbo would also mean 3 frame perfect shine sparks, as well as being able to shoot beams in an inhuman speed + being able to shoot missiles in between at the top of it, highly reducing the time you take killing bosses. I highly suggest a separate category instead of allowing turbo in the main category alongside people without turbo

As many speedrunners out there who have tried to speedrun the game, a good portion of it has to do with button mashing. Especially the bosses in this game rely on it.
While it's understandable that the use of turbo is banned on the main category, I suggest a separate one that does allow turbo, so that people can lay off the button mash a bit and compete equally with the use of a turbo. I am very certain there are many players that are interested in playing this, myself included.
I am confident I timed the run right. Also, IL category is complicated because real-time doesn't match in-game time, therefore multiple different ILs are needed, and the game isn't that popular enough for this at the moment
I mean I see it but the speed is kinda crazy, I'm assuming the controllers are attached to something, so that when you swing it swings faster
I'm also wondering how these punches are done. They are legitimate of course, but it's not clear how they're done
I was able to do more attempts today to reach a 434, still no success. It's quite curious, there is literally nothing to the level where I can possibly lose time.
At the top of it, the person in question seems to have very basic knowledge over not only the game and how to be fast at it, but also how the timer works in the game, and how you can measure a second "without having a timer".
I'll be fair here, as a top ninji player (it was not hard for me to reach a top 10-20 spot during the week, or reach a final rank in the top 20, even got top 2 during Rolling Snowball) there aren't that many souls out there outrunning me in this game, let alone this guy up there. BUT, just to be sure, I contacted KingBoo, many times ninji champion, which is easily a top 3 best speedrunner and arguably the best speedrunner in the game. I asked him to get a 434 on the level, we'll see how it goes. If kingboo can't get a 434, I assure you guys that nobody can.
And I would like to remind everyone that apparently, this guy up there was able to get a 434 as small mario, which is even more unbelievable as it's a frame slower.
My guess is that the timer got edited to look like a 434, which would explain why it curiously moved at the end of the video.
But again, the person in question removed the video. I mean, how can somebody be insulted of being accused of cheating at the same time as removing the piece of evidence?

To be honest with you guys, maybe 434 on this level is not even possible in the first place. Can people try to get 434? I would like to see if one soul could get 434.
You can simply go frame by frame in a video and calculate 60 frames my dude. The last second of your video exceeded the 60 frames. Again, put it available again and I'll show you.
