I forgot to say that it is not necessary to shoot down all the spheres in the bonus level (if you do not shoot down 1 sphere or more)? Some players may experience crashes after completing the credit levels.

Even with chariot, you can still reach sub 1 hour, but only if you're lucky. I wanted to provide another guide: when the bonus level starts, wait 1-2 seconds on the continue button to avoid glitches, especially when collecting the jug. I believe using scorpions/color bombs is better (if there is no color sorting on the blue sphere).
