It's possible you are playing on pal, which runs 5/6th the speed of ntsc.
Almost every speedrun is done with one player unless stated otherwise so its not included in the rules for most games and having multiple players is a significant advantage compared to master cpus as it removes basically any rng from the category. It also doesn't have a separate listing due to a lack of interest as the category even in 1p is mostly dead.
Having Multiple Players run boss rush is not allowed. You are allowed any amount of cpus not human players.
We believe Wii U has faster loads but we don't know exactly how much faster as load times vary a lot. You can achieve top times on either console, just remember to play on a disk copy and not a usb loader.

Substitute Loads are set times added to your final time in a run for specific actions. Here is a list of those said actions and times:
- Saving the Game | 4 Seconds
- Disabling/Enabling Autosave (During Game) | 4 Seconds
- Relogging in the World | 10 Seconds
- Closing and Opening the Game | 30 Seconds
Every time these actions are done during a run, the said time is added to your final time. (Ex. 1:24.667 + Relog = 1:34.667) NOTE | RESPAWN LOADS ARE NOT AFFECTED

I understand the mods have lifes outside of src, however, it shouldn't take over 2 months to verify a run. Some runs have been in pending for over 7 months.
4 Players all on master, Bowser Jr Rng is the main issue with getting good times. You should able to get consistent sub 13's and 12's even with bad Bowser Jr fights with enough practice.
