Hey Aussie here, i am currently working on a rom hack of the USA rom because i am visionally impaired with Retinitis Pigmentosa, and i think that my rom I'm making (when finished) should be allowed to be used in run submissions so that if more people like me with vision impairments want to run Mario but are struggling because of their disability, it makes it easier for them.

For example, i cannot see in BBH practically at all. this is primarily due to the fact that especially the outside area, all the colours are just so similar and look the same to me. Another big one is HMC, it is a pretty important stage for 16 star, and i struggle to do it because i cant see the difference between the black void and floor cause they're both dark colours, i also have a problem with the walls being too similar of colours sometimes, for instance, Emergency Exit star, i cant do it because when i try to do the kick off the wall up to the first platform (this is right side method) i cannot see the wall changing angles so i don't know where to wall kick off and its honestly really frustrating

My rom doesn't change anything except textures, it primarily makes things in those dark levels brighter and more contrasting colours so its easier to see the difference, as well as making some other things slightly more bold like the bubbles in the water levels.

I do also plan to make a Japanese version of this so both versions are accessible for runs, but that will probably take a while as I'm kinda new to all this
