you can try to contact them on a social media linked to their profile.
if they dont respond or wont verify ity, make a support ticket.
usually youll find high precision/skill in 2d platformers due to those often requiring multiple frame perfect inputs and subpixel precise tricks.
but then glitches, sequence breaks and unintended routes are usually seen in 3d games.
first thing to come to mind is half life 2 as you did mention portal. but you also mentioned sm64 which i wouldnt mention myself, it doesnt require any precision or much skill
the very thread was dumb from the first post, you do not need to start wondering what game it is about 4 months after the last unnecessary post.
to my knowledge from using bandicam like over a decade ago, you cant have layouts in it like you can in obs. its just a screen/window recorder.
if you really want to stick to bandicam despite obs also supporting nvenc, 4k resolutions and lossless quality, you will have to use an editing program to separately add in the timer, which will of course degrade the quality from having to rerender.
though i find 4k lossless quality to be very questionable for speedrun recordings... not like any user cares or that any video host i know of allows that unless you have a huge following.
if what you are describing is what i think it is, then yea its been a problem for years.
unless they someday do something about it, youll have to have a billion variables and categories
people used to actually ask questions in these forums and i started using the forums too to try to help them but people dont post much anymore.
first people started necroing posts left and right, then it was the influx of minecraft kids asking minecraft questions without ever mentioning it was about minecraft and its all bots now.
do you have a billion splits? does it happen with other split files loaded, or just a specific one?
what?
this must be an AI post.
should not be allowed for Speedrun (Why?) Racing Games are not fixed by a normal speed unit and it goes 0 to 999 in few seconds
this is the dumbest thing ive heard, and it doesnt even make sense
you can basically search "x gdq" (replacing 'x' with the game name) and youll get a nice video to watch :D
no you cannot do that.
unless the runner themselves has uploaded a no commentary version of their run.
i recommend just looking up games done quick runs, their rules dont allow the runner to swear. and they commentate and explain the run itself.
if the cutscenes are skipable then you will not find a video like that.
watching cutscenes is slow and speedrunning is about going fast :P
mostly just kids are super whiny and nowadays speedrunning is almost mainstream so there is a lot of kids.
other than that, you whine about the game sucking ass because you know the game. you know X thing sucks so it just annoys you more that its a part of the game. all that on top of possibly grinding that game for who knows how long and heavy resetting will make you pissed at anything.
but if someone is like that with a game they are playing for the first time then:
it's just how they are
are you saying you want to make a tutorial on "how to get into speedrunning" or "how to get into game x"?
generally the more popular games have more and better tutorials but that doesnt mean the smaller communities dont also
