-Timing based on IGT of each level added together? Not RTA but should be done in a single session with a single continuous video (though if people think RTA timing is better I'm willing to make it that).

-Any order of levels is fine

I think it's fine as is, the "only able to improve by one second" thing is definitely annoying but plenty of games have rich IL competitions (Goldeneye 007/Perfect Dark, NSMBW) despite only being able to improve by one second. Using real time would also probably making doing TTs way less popular in the long run.

what ive considered for some time is making it just a singular "100%" category: in a 6 electoon level it would be to beat the level once normally whilst getting the five electoons and the medal, then restarting and getting the time trial electoon and the trophy, 3 electoon levels would be just as normal, get all three electoons and the medal, what do people think of this?

You can use any version of the game you like. Using co-op whether by yourself or with others is not allowed for ILs.

yeah the problem is just that, would anybody use them? no point adding them if they're just gonna collect dust

if you wanna potentially see IL boards in the future, consider making a spreadsheet for this, figure out all the logistics and if there's enough use, it might just happen :)

if there was demand for it we could but there just isnt any, there's no point in adding a category to the leaderboards that no one has ran/will run, additionally im not sure what the protocol (if any is established at all) is for allowing 2 or more other actual people for any% (and if there were other categories where co-op is allowed)

130 electoons is the no co-op any% category, its the fastest way you can beat the game without co-op

co-star mode (what in the community is often referred to as 2p or 2-player) is when you have a second wiimote usually attached to the first one that allows new movement options including being able to get extra height whilst in midair (midair 2p jump), as well as extra height from a grounded position (grounded 2p jump) as well as making star bit collection easier and a few other features which do make running 2 player faster, until a few days ago on the leaderboard it was labelled "players" and then with the options "1p" and "2p", this was changed as some questions were brought up regarding having multiple players perform the same speedrun and so the names were changed to "co-star" with the options "yes" and "no" to be more clear

making posts like this will get you absolutely nowhere, smo has so many runs being submitted and it takes a long time to get through them, it's not just you, everyone has to wait, sometimes for several weeks at a time, but going on the forums and demanding your run be verified will do absolutely nothing to get it verified faster
