well if derandomizer is eventually allowed (which I hope it does to save hours of rerolling) all everdarks are constantly available as it uses the seamless mod.
Mainly it's to stop every single speedrun just being a reroll until you get mirias day 1 run.
I agree alot of things are already luck but the impact of getting a mirias or grafted day 1 is so huge it invalidates any other strategy unlike anything else. So if you want a speedrun time you'd just have to reroll until you get one. Every run would look and feel the same as the bosses aren't being killed by good timing on abilities or strategies, but from the effect of a single drop that you rerolled 100 times to get.
You could make a seperate grafted/mirias leaderboard but nobody would run it because it's just boring.
I think removing those swords is healthy for speedrunning this game to keep it interesting and see strategies develop and improve
The only bit that is automatic is when the timer starts ticking. If set up correctly you will have to click your next split hotkey to activate it during the loading screen, where it will stay on 0 until it finishes loading where the time will start going up. Any other splits you have added or want to add, including ending the timer when the "Nightlord Felled" text appears, is done manually by you.
