This is where you can discuss new categories for this game. If you look at the categories and category extensions for the original Tomodachi Life on 3DS, you’ll find ridiculous ones.
You should be able to filter games by console and official games versus romhacks/mods.
Any other ideas?
I opened Mario Kart World on racetime.gg. Does anyone want to be a mod? (Note: I only added categories where you don't have to clear your profile.)
We can add Adventure mode, to play all stages, and play all Special stages. We could also add a misc. category: Individual Stages. All of the would have quick and extended play.
I opened Yoshi's Woolly World on racetime.gg.
Comment "EE-Yum!" if you want to be a mod.
Since individual levels are getting ran by the second, we should have to submit exact timing to have less ties.
I may have found a ground clip. Here's how it works.
If Mario is in a 1-block gap, you can still jump.
If you hold 'A' while in the air, Mario will stand up. You are not on the ground, so the game doesn't know to push Mario back. This means that his head can hit the ceiling.
Depending on the subpixels, he might be snapped up to floor, or he might clip through the ground.
MaibaRTA, can you find a spot where this is useful?
Framerate
Switch 2 games can run at 120 FPS. Have speedrunners include the framerate (60/120 FPS) when they submit the run. If a short run like individual roller coasters in Super Mario…Jamboree TV requires milliseconds, it can vary the time by 8ms.
New Content
If a Switch 2 Edition has new content, then add a button next to “Category Extensions” that says “Switch 2 Content”.
- v1.4 Patch things that affect the speedrun
“Next Race”
They added a way to skip a race during a Grand Prix.
Koopa Troopa Beach
They changed the intermissions near Koopa Troopa Beach.
Charge Jump
They changed the jump time.
Glitches
Some glitches were patched and may affect the speedrun.
Mario Kart World v1.4 added a feature that allows skipping tracks during a grand prix. With the current rules, players could cheat in the grand prix speedruns. Clarify in the game rules to not skip tracks.
Yoshi's Woolly World speedruns aren't as popular as most because it is a WiiU game. I thought of another way to popularize it. When selecting "100%", there should be a subcategory where you don't need all of the gems.
Hello. I have an idea for a new category. Welcome to 50%. This category is made for people who have mastered Any%, but want a new challenge and an introduction to Warpless.
This route involves warping to worlds 3 and 7 instead
This is called 50% because you play 16/32 levels. This would be good if you want to speedrun a category that is longer than Any%, but not as long and frustrating as warpless
This video shows the route in action.
