ok so can we compromise on sub categories then? the difference in times is staggering and one is significantly easier than the other. at the moment going off of in game time only there is no benefit to players who play the game flawlessly, nor punishment to players who play poorly/sloppily and can pause to check map and take their time healing and refilling heals in the shop. however since there seems to be a divide on how the time should count i propose subcategories for each, one with RTA and one with IGT. that way those who prefer to do runs each way can have a proper leaderboard
As this community of runners hopefully grows I would like to bring up the idea of timing runs in RTA (timer that runs outside the game) as opposed to the current IGN (in game time) due to the fact that the in game timer pauses in the shop area. Due to this it means that players can freely use the heal station as much as they like without penalty to time, OR the perspective I personally have - players who perform well during levels and don't need heals go unrewarded for it and their time doesn't change if they were to skip the healing station every level or if they use it every single time.
TLDR = if we time runs in RTA it will reward players who play well and I think add a little bit of depth to the runs.
