hey, it seems like the video is unavailable, at least I’m not able to watch it. it says its some kind of 404 error.
adding a rule so levels HAVE to be completed in order is always bad, getting the chokepoints out of the way first just reduces the amount of nerves and mistakes you can make near the end.
in my opinion, allow speedrun mode and say something like 'beat all 40 levels, order doesn't matter'
it will lead to less "visually appealing" but much faster runs and better consistency since menuing in this game is painful af lmao

one of the reasons i dont get why this rule exists, is that it doesn't change anything gameplay wise, in the perspective of an all levels run it just removes the need to keep track of which level comes next and just cuts down the time spent clicking on every button, plus you also get specific muscle memory from using speedrun mode as you don't have to click on each level every time you beat one.
and the other reason is that it just makes the run slower and easier to fail altogether so yeah i would really like it if this rule were to get removed entirely
