one of the reasons i dont get why this rule exists, is that it doesn't change anything gameplay wise, in the perspective of an all levels run it just removes the need to keep track of which level comes next and just cuts down the time spent clicking on every button, plus you also get specific muscle memory from using speedrun mode as you don't have to click on each level every time you beat one.
and the other reason is that it just makes the run slower and easier to fail altogether so yeah i would really like it if this rule were to get removed entirely
Hi, sorry for the inactivity. I think u found a gap in the rules, by clarifying the timer start and first easy level and end time on last hard level, it was meant for the levels to be completed in order.
Thinking about it, I'm not sure if it's the right call, what do u think?
adding a rule so levels HAVE to be completed in order is always bad, getting the chokepoints out of the way first just reduces the amount of nerves and mistakes you can make near the end.
in my opinion, allow speedrun mode and say something like 'beat all 40 levels, order doesn't matter'
it will lead to less "visually appealing" but much faster runs and better consistency since menuing in this game is painful af lmao
There are now some new moderators (including me :3)! Expect some changes and much faster run verification :D
