A while back I was able to show this game off (pretty close to release) on the AS SEEN ON TV GDQ hotfix.
We actually had such good RNG on the first run, we were able to do a bonus second run, chat also picked our characters, etc.
This game was first run at Anime Speedrun Festival, for Toriyama Memorial event.
This was something I bought many years ago and began to route and explore because of this event, and I wanted to make sure the Blue Dragon Characters had representation.
If you stumble upon this part of the internet, I really hope you enjoy this video and the gameplay.
Because of the obscurity of this game, any and all videos that can be found featuring this game in an event, tournament, or production should be linked here.
I ran this at InstaYabathon 2024, and I was really happy with the way commentary came out, even if we had some CPU being too cheap moments bundled with that.
I recently was told the difficulty increases and it might not be able to be shifted, after watching this back it might be the case. Really need to reboot this game in the coming year.
I'll update this list in a bit, but I know this speedrun has been done better and often several times.
My run, while I was too rusty, was done at Yabathon 2024.
Normal Percent Arcade run, but it features Raoh because even though he isn't my main, he is the coolest. Simple as that.
Ok, so this game might not get featured much, especially considering just how obscure it is.
It was however Featured in a big way at Segathon 6, so here is the glorious video from the event.
Still one of my favorites, not the game but just showing this game to potential fans. We could have used any character here, but doing the Ghost Shingen nonsense was the correct choice.
I've never seen tourney footage let alone decent plays of this outside of my own, BUT if you happen to stumble upon some, post them here!
This was run at Segathon 6, and yes its developed and produced by Sega.
This route also is much cleaner, and shows off newer tech that we discovered, and its better then the fart infinites.
For this one we can collect any and all videos for this game.
I will start with the VOD from RGLtv's Halloween Marathon event:
A really smooth run, and probably my favorite and most recommended for this game because of the commentary by @Nighlin and @King_Kyouma
There's for sure a few more,
But ill start off with the retrothon event where we ran every marvel back to back.
Its actually a decent show this time around, and we showed more of the venom/ryu tricks.
Post any tourney or speedrun videos for this game. It's one of my favorite for the N64, plus Gundam fighting games in general are underrated.
The first event I submitted this to was the N64 speedrun party in 2024.
This was a live WR, and a debut of a new route id been working on. I decided to challenge myself and do a Very Hard run live. Was a ton of fun, so here's hoping the N64 speedrun party can return!
Well as far as I know just the Big Bad Game a thon 2024 has this game at its event, but who knows where else this mysterious game boy game has appeared.
So my goal with this thread is to have any speedrun or footage of this game captured for other events like EVO, or in the most recent case Big Bad Game a thon.
Seriously post anything you might have on this game. Also the creator of this game was aware of the freeze glitch, and even noted to me in person how I was doing some of the difficult loops, so even though this game is a pain to boot up and capture, I was more than satisfied with the result.
This game goes to the max right from the start, I really hope to find more people submitting or be able to run this at more events, highly overlooked.
We had ran the alternative mode of this game at a charity marathon, Breaking the Habit.
This one had an incentive and Cheshire Cat got to zip through this game, and show all the absolute degenerate attacks this re imagined character from Alice has.
Be sure to check out the Apex Story% run from Prevent-a-thon 4. This speedrun also had a character incentive, and everyone voted for Thundatross
Final time was 10:44 which for an event run, felt really good to achieve.
I think with the continuation of DLC this game has had we will continue to see it pop up here and there at events!
South Tyrol featured this game at there previous event.
If I have a chance to do a PC8001 panel I would probably add this to it but think of it as a mini panel of sorts.
At SouthTyrol speedruns I was able to show off the legend that is the street combat. This was actually thrown up as a bonus game, and isnt something I would normally submit seeing as there isnt too much going on with this game but I think its cool it had a chance to be shown.
Maybe someone out there has a speedrun event or even a tournament video for this title?! Post it here if you do!
I have a feeling theres a few more out there of not just myself playing but others at events so please add to the list if you have them.
First I'll add my 1CC run from SouthTyrol Speedruns
Was actually 1CC but I could have been quicker and less rusty on certain tricks, especially versus kingpin, but overall was really happy to show this off here.
Was very happy to continue running all the guilty gear games at events across Japan. This time was RTA Gate #4. Not only was this 1CC, but probably one of the more clean runs from this game youll see at an event, I was able to show a lot of B and B's and we took on Ino with little issue too.
ASF 2025, part of the MSX panel.
This was not only a best time but a really fun showing of just how quality this entry is, especially when compared to some of the other games on the console at the time.
Obscurathon 4 hosted these runs and was the event I wanted to use as the base time to set for the EASY mode times of the game.
This is probably one of my best runs for obscurathon, I might even say this game actually has some good merit to being in other events because of its childish fun and easy to follow, but still has some challenging mini games, and laughable unfair mechanics on the map (ghost map in particular)
