Or we can just leave the board as is without separating it and simply do a skill check for people who submit a WR run and uses some unknown device in it. So, basically a requirement for WR to have a hand cam. For example, in case of Luca, to just ask him to do a 100m with a regular controller (nes, snes, xbox, dualshock, etc.) to simply prove that his device didn't give him some unfair advantage. This is the simplest solution that don't require 99% of players to do some unnecessary bullshit.
We need a 3rd mod to resolve this dilemma.
I should probably specify that I don't accuse or blame FloppyBacon, because he probably simply didn't knew about VBA, since there is nothing in the rules regarding emulators.
This run is performed on VBA (Visual Boy Advance), which is emulates GB incorrectly (it works faster) and banned on every GB leaderboard because it gives unfair advantage.
Since there is no volontaires I don't mind being a mod. I know how to framecount and it's not like there is a ton of people who wanna run this game, so it won't be so difficult to verify runs.
NES category is essentially called "Nintendo Nintendo Entertainment System". Can moderator pls change it to just "NES"?
Ever since I did my run 2 years ago I noticed that some runs were timed inaccurately. So, I finally decided to properly framecount all of them.
Time starts when starting the game from the event list (on the last frame that the event list is fully visible).
Time ends when one full loop is completed (on the first frame that shows the first selected event).

Can someone please tell me why there is nothing in the rules section, considering the fact that this leaderboard exists for 8 years and has 7 moderators?
This game was released on NES by the name of Tecmo Cup Football/Soccer Game, so please put NES back into the platform section.
Just did some JP runs and looks like I was wrong and it is actually faster
(but at least 8-way tied WR in US ver is broken).
In GB version loop ends after you save the girl.

In JP ver. girl gets kidnapped after 1-3 and you save her at 1-4, but in US ver. kidnapping is after 1-5 and save is at 1-6.
Since everyone here played on US ver. and stopped after "elevator descends to the bottom of Level 4" that means that not a single person on this leaderboard completed a proper 1-loop run.
Please add GB in a platform section, since it's not a GBA game.
It would be nice to know start and end frames, because no matter how you time it GB run is not 58 seconds.
I did some runs on BizHawk with inputs displayed. For starting point I used 1 frame before black screen appears (after choosing "One Player") and first frame when "Connect Four" appeared as endpoin. Those should be good enough, I guess.
Also, most runs didn't show previous attempt/reset, so we can't tell how many of them used save states.
