Been trying to figure it out for about an hour now, but I just can't seem to work it out. The guide just says to select it in the settings for the autosplitter, which I would assume is the Script Path option given that it's the only part that lets you select a file, but selecting my config file then removes all functionality from the autosplitter.

Since "Split based on configuration file:" is an option in the script that comes with the autosplitter, I would assume that there is another place where I'm supposed to select the config file, but either it's not showing up or I can't find it. So any help would be appreciated!

You have to have a .witness_config file in the same folder as the splits are

Then just add a line with a ID for a panel to the section you need. a "panels" section does no more than one split per panel, and "multipanel" section will split each time you solve a panel

If you want to split on EP you have to create another section called "eps:", then add EP's IDs to that section

Anything that goes after a "#" symbol has no effect on splits, you can name the panel this way so you won't forget what that ID is for

If you've set it up properly, your config will actually show up as a checkbox in the livesplit settings. If that's not happening (or you're still stuck), please join the discord and ask for help.

If you are running a longer category, you can take a look at some of the top runs, they'll often have a witness_config linked in their description -- or you can ask in discord, and we can help you out.

Got it! Had the file in the same folder as LiveSplit itself rather than my splits. Thank you both for the help! I didn't realize there was a discord, I'll probably be joining that soon.
