Hey, I was thinking of a new speedrun category I think would be pretty fun to grind. This would require you play and finish:
- A game of Mario Party (any ruleset)
- A game of Tag Match
- A Daily Challenge pack
- A game of Showdown Minigame Battle
- A game of Boss Rush (might as well add that as an individual category)
- A game of Koopathlon (any lap count)
- A game of Bowser Kaboom Squad
- A game of Sky Battle
- A game of Koopa Paratroopa Taxi
- A game of Free Flight (do something that would net you Party Points)
- The first area of Toad's Item Factory
- One of the four difficulties of Rhythm Kitchen (Normal, Long, Challenging or Remix)
Okay, that's a lot of modes, but that's all of them.
Timing starts when you press A (hehe) next to the Hot-Air Balloon and ends when the screen fades to white after selecting "To Hot-Air Balloon" or "To Party Plaza" on the ending screen.
I don't have a video about it cause I don't have a Capture Card and I haven't actually completed any full runs.
My estimate is about 2 hours flat. Good luck!
P.S. you might as well add "No Motion" and "Motion" subcategories.
If you're interested in doing a run like this, the existing Diamond Rank category is similar to your suggestion, and involves playing most of these game modes.
If you do want this specific category, the normal expectation is that multiple people are interested and have completed runs before a category is added to the leaderboard. While you haven't completed a run yet, if you can complete one and post the video here or in the Mario Party Speedrunning discord server, you may find enough others interested in it that a category can be added. Even with no capture card, it's possible to get a video by using a phone camera to record your switch screen, or anything along those lines.
