Hello, I'm not in the Discord and I'm not really interested in joining at the moment (I'm in a lot of servers already lol), but I wanted to float this category idea here to see if it would be interesting.

I recently discovered Random Tool Order and created a tool for creating splits for it, but once I started trying RTO runs, I found that it was very difficult to practice. I noticed that an optimized RTO run has two non-randomized segments: the beginning of the game right up until Trail's End, and getting the Silk and Soul wish up until the Abyss escape.

So I started routing a practice category I called RTO Silk and Soul%, which runs from the beginning of the game up until the Silk and Soul wish is acquired, getting the three extra tools normally obtained from wishes in TE runs (Druid's Eye, Tacks, and Throwing Ring). Getting Silk and Soul helps verify the completion of the Act 3 requirements at the end of the run. Additionally, the route picks up a number of relics and rosary necklaces to aid in purchasing tools later in the run.

My PB is 5:20:xx (RTA, Switch 2) with massive room for improvement. The latest run I've recorded is here: youtu.be/YxhrLemOJYg

I can follow up with specific requirements or my splits if requested. And no worries if this isn't accepted, I'll probably still keep running it on my own, but I thought it might be fun to be able to compete with other runners while I practice. Thanks :D

Random Tool Order is likely not going to be on the leaderboards because it's random. It would be optimal to reroll the random generator until you get an ideal route. Something like All Tools is much more likely to get a board

Yeah I get it, that's why I'm not asking about RTO. This category is a fixed route, no randomizations.
