Hey all, writing on behalf of the mod team. Over the next few weeks we will be sprucing up the rules sections of all categories to make sure everything is crystal clear. This is by no means a change in rules, this is just further clarifying what has already been in effect for years, especially clarifying things like where timing ends for ILs since there have been a few discussions of that being unclear in the discord.
As a note, we will also be defining what a wrong warp is. Right now this is not relevant in any category, but it may be for future purposes. As of right now, wrong warps take place when you activate a checkpoint after the trigger for unlocking the next level has been activated, meaning that when you load into the next level, it uses the checkpoint number you just activated to start you at an unintended part of the level. However, there is a behavior of the game that the community hasn’t discussed much. For this reason we will have a vote to determine if this behavior should also be defined as a wrong warp. In certain maps, it is possible to activate a checkpoint from out of bounds (that you had not activated inbounds), fall off the map to die, and then respawn in that activated checkpoint. This is specifically relevant in ch9 for characters with bad horizontal movement if they do not wrong warp into the chapter. Should this behavior also count as wrong warping? Or should we keep the definition only for checkpoint manipulation between levels? Please take the time to vote if you would like to help shape this definition. Votes will be counted on Sunday 21st September, at 11:59 PM Eastern time.

Rule clarifications are now live and the vote has concluded. A wrong warp will be defined as only checkpoint warping between levels. Results were as follows:

Hey all,
Today we are adding our new main game category: No Wrong Warp! This category aims to bridge No Skips with Any%/Inbounds in a way that highlights unique tricks in various levels, while also creating a run that is both visually entertaining and distinct/fun to play.
