With the current free mobile app's quality and accessibility decreasing over time, it's recommended to use the old Android app instead, specifically v6.1.11 (latest build, released in January 2016 and includes all extra content)

## Setup instructions

1. Download the .zip from the link below and extract its files onto your phone/BlueStacks
2. Download a third-party file manager like ZArchiver to transfer files between Media Manager and your Android folder more easily
3. Either run the game once or manually create the *com.popcap.pvz_row* folder in the *obb* folder within the *Android* folder in your phone (can't be an SD card)
4. The path should look exactly like this: */storage/emulated/0/Android/obb/com.popcap.pvz_row/*
5. Move *main.50002398.com.popcap.pvz_row.obb* to the *com.popcap.pvz_row* folder
6. Run the game again, it should now work fine

With the current free mobile app being bombarded with ads and locking features like mowers behind a paywall, it's not a great port for speedruns at all. It's preferable to use an APK of the older Android release instead, which was unlisted from Google Play in 2017 and has none of the annoyances.
