Requirements:

Instructions:

  1. Delete dmc3se.ini in the DMC3SE game folder.

  2. Download Xidi and inside the Win32 folder, extract dinput8.dll and Xidi.32.dll to the game folder.

  3. Download the Xidi SDL3 Plugin and inside the Win32 folder, extract SDL.XidiPlugin.32.dll and SDL3.dll to the DMC3SE game folder.

  4. Open Notepad as Administrator and copy/paste this config:

Plugin = SDL
ControllerBackend = SDL3

[Mapper]
Type = DMC3SE

[CustomMapper:DMC3SE]
Template = StandardGamepad

StickLeftX          = Axis(RotZ)
StickLeftY          = Axis(Z)
StickRightX         = Axis(Y)

  1. Save the file as Xidi.ini to the DMC3SE game folder and launch the game.

EDIT: Controller hotplugging now supported.

Allows any controller to be used in DMC3 with minimal setups.

Italy

I can confirm this works. I just set up DMC3-PC06 and I was having issues with my left analog stick moving Dante in the wrong directions... This fixed everything instantly after following the instruction. Thanks!
