To all runners: Timing Discussion of a run and timing/Housekeeping

Hello all, I have been appointed Super as a mod change due to previous mods inactivity.

Accordingly I have self-verified my pending run https://www.speedrun.com/mighty_morphin_power_rangers_genesis/runs/m7ve1d4m and I would welcome you all watching/verifying too.

More importantly, I need runner discussion on the timing.

The run in question finishes on a fight timeout, rather than a finishing blow.

When should timing end in this case?

As it stands I have timed the end as when 00 shows on the timer. As a runner, this felt closest in logic to the general rule of final hit. Since this has not occurred before, this is an excellent chance to discuss not only this, but any other timing minutiae, or board matters.

I also wish to appoint a couple more moderators to the board. Ideally you should have an existing run in the game, but you don't need moderation experience. If you're interested, please respond too!

Not as a runner but as a watcher of the SNES version I think time should finish on last hit to avoid autoscrolling and to incentive others to kill everything as fast as possible instead of waiting for the timer since it won't matter if your last hit was during the last 10 seconds or 30 seconds since you'll need to wait the timer run to 00 anyways

I think a timeout can be classed in the rule of a final hit as it wont effect the board negatively.

I think final hit should be the end of the time. Especially in Megazord fights, since you lose control when Megazord does the final swing of the power sword and pose after the final hit. If I remember correctly, you do lose control of the ranger after the final hit during ranger stages.

Proto, I'm unclear what timing end you intend by your response. Do you mean that the end time should be the hit when you hear 'JUSTICE SHALL OVERCOME'? I feel like adding n seconds to every run on the board to account for that would be unnecessarily arbitrary. My final fight does not end with a knockout hit, it ends because time reaches 00, so I'm asking whether 00 is an acceptable analogue in this case.

In my opinion treating a timeout as a final hit for timing purposes is fine. See no problems with it.
