I hope everyone has been enjoying themselves with the new update to the charms system. There is no exaggeration when people say that there is a lot of RNG involved with the charms. I have been studying runs from other runners and conversing with them and the general agreement is that the impact from the most optimal charms is rather minimal, even if their drop rate might be rather absurd.
To sum this point up, All charms gained from the new system will be legal. I hope you can have fun making your sets a bit more comfortable for the runs.
For the second point, I will also be opening up applications for the Monster Hunter Wilds verification team for those who would want to make a contribution to the community! In joining the verification team, you can gain and share insight into the ins and outs of the runs that you see and assist in keeping this leaderboard running! If you would like to join, please feel free to DM me on Discord and join the MHSR Discord.
I look forward to verifying your runs and I look forward to hearing from those who would like to join the team. Happy Hunting!
Talon Lumini Moderator of MHWilds

Hello everyone, Lumini here. Parts of Title update 3 are now out earlier due to player feedback to Capcom and now we have the new endgame grind system in with the return of RNG talismans. Now what does this mean for the runners? We want to give runners time to grind up new talismans and to give the mod team a chance to look at the workings of the charm tables, IL runs will currently be placed on embargo until August 31st. By then, the mod team will have a much better idea as to what is affected and can make proper rulings for the Restricted Rules category and possibly Freestyle as well.
That being said, if you would like to submit any% runs to the board, please feel free to! With the updates to the weapons, as well as buffs to the duration of the meals, we are excited to see the amount of time you can save on your runs!
As a general reminder *you must display armor values, decos, and food skills for IL runs for it to be verified. This also includes Arena and Challenge Quests. ***** The main purpose of this is to ensure that no extra bugs have slipped through the runs as there have been bugs/exploits that allowed one to take extra buffs or their own weapon into the run. The secondary purpose is that it also helps to serve as an integrity check for runners and it shows others that the run is clean.
If I have missed adding any quests, please let me know! I look forward to verifying your runs and I wish you all some happy hunts!
Hello everyone, Lumini here. In this post, we will be going over
- Event quests,
- Street Fighter 6 Collab based runs
- Arena Quests.
As of 6/8/25, the leaderboard has been updated to include all current event quests, including "Three Tails Better Than None." As the event quests come out, expect them to show up on the leaderboard within 1-3 days after it has been released. If there are any quests that ends up being missed, please feel free to DM me at any point whether it's on the MHSR discord or through my personal DMs.
For those waiting to see if we would be adding the Akuma fists as its own weapon category, the leaderboard will not currently recognize Akuma as its own category. The Akuma mechanic is considered as a gimmick and is influenced by a handful of things. First, all guarding weapons can give offensive guard without damaging the monster. You also have to account for Dual Blades and Bow Dodging buff. For the Street Fighter Arena Quests, the weapon type also matters because it influences the items available to the player and thus, can alter the strategies utilized for the quest.
Lastly, as a reminder for those wanting to submit arena quests to this leaderboard. All Arena Runs will still require armor to be shown for verification. Yes, we are aware that one can just test damage output ourselves for verification. However, due to the potential for bugs and illegal game modification, this will still be required out of all runners for the board. If you do not have armor verification within your run, you can still submit the raw footage recording or a VOD that has you accepting the armor at the Arena Clerk.
That being said, I look forward to reviewing everyone's runs and happy hunting!

Hello everyone, Lumini here. I want to update you all on the change of layout for the leaderboard on the Individual Level (IL) side of things. As you know before, the quests were separated into separate weapon leaderboards so that every run could be more easily compared to that weapon type. After about 2 months, many of you have pointed out that the way it currently was made it harder to discover and compare runs amongst different weapon types. This old system also made boards look barren as some quests/weapon types are more popular than others.
Starting today, 5/29/25, the boards will be implementing the board style used for the Rise leaderboards in that weapon types are annotations instead of subcategories. This will mean that for those who have gold crowns with their respective weapons will no longer have that crown as all weapons will be competing for the single crown now. This change only truly affects people who care for having crowns under their belt as opposed to having the fastest time for their respective weapon. If you want or need to compare run by your desired weapon type, then you can always filter for your specific weapon to only show the runs of that weapon.
Once again, thank you again for all of your patience in waiting for runs to be verified. As of writing this, all runs except for those within the last few days have officially been verified. We will continue to update the leaderboard as we continue forward.
Happy Hunting

MHSR Leaderboard Updates: 2025-Apr 5 Changes
Moving forward, all Leaderboard changes and updates will be shared under the News tab on Speedrun.com.
The following are changes made to the MHSR Wilds Leaderboard Rulesets & Submission Guidelines. All changes are reflected on the leaderboard rules and in the guidelines document here.
Wilds Verification Grace Period & Verification Tutorial
A great number of IL submissions have not included all required verification needs, mainly verifying Food Skills. Since the game is new and processes are now finalized, we, the moderation and verification team, have been observing a "grace period" for submissions to avoid mass rejections on the leaderboards.
Submissions on or before April 5, 2025, will observe the grace period. For these submissions, if Food Skills were not shown in the submission, the verifier will contact the runner for a list of the food skills used. These will be added to the submission description.
Submissions after April 5, 2025, will no longer observe the grace period. Moving forward, any part of verification missing, including but not limited to Quest Start, End Quest Timer, Equipment, Decorations, and Food Skills verification, will result in a rejection. To help aid, I've prepared a tutorial for IL Verification! You can watch that tutorial here on YouTube. This is also linked on the leaderboard rules and in the guidelines document.
