-Talon Lumini
-Heroics skill activation is prohibited.
still can't understand why
Heroics being banned has been a historical IL thing for restricted rulesets due to the damage advantage and the more reliant on RNG for it to stay activated without the use of bombs.
How will it work with the monster itself activating the environmental features? For example on the plateau in the windward plains rey dau and arkveld often activate those falling rocks by themselves. It's kind of dumb because it's either: "Too bad, guess I have to reset the run" or the run is just gonna be luck based on if the monster will trap itself or not.
Also what mods will be allowed? Will things like REframework be allowed for performance?
I have to agree with others. Environmental damage in Wilds is much more an active choice and in select situations, unavoidable.
I don't see it as a very RNG based mechanic and follows the hunter vs monster focus. I second allowing Environmental damage for IL restricted ruleset. I use to be against Environmental, but it makes sense given how many runs have access to it.
I'm 110% for the banning of Heroic.
Idk why banning flash pods makes sense, all this really does is make ranged better on certain monsters, if we're talking about giving advantages to certain weapons, how about we don't ban flash pods??? This makes no sense lmao... Literally just made an account to potentially post runs for this game but after seeing these whackass rules I think I'll pass till unrestricted if that ever happens, can't tell me stuff like Rey Dau not being able to be flashed doesn't give an advantage to ranged weapons
You don't have to follow the ruleset. Like the post said, this is a restricted format that follows a precedent set by previous games. The unrestricted format will allow you to do as you please for the run. And for those who don't know, when it comes to comparing times, you would compare them by weapon type and not the overall. There are 14 weapon types with varying strengths and playstyles. Not everyone wants to use the strongest thing and wants to just use their main, so runs are compared by the weapon as a result.
Hello, someone can confirm me that we can't use immunizer and hot/cold drink in RR ? (before the quest, in pre-buffing of course)
Hey Nefuk0! You can use immunizer and the drinks for RR for the pre-buff.
Im sure its been stated why we cant use anything but to be honest a hunter of monsters would use everything in their arsenal to defeat or capture said monster. Traps, environmental hazards, all would be fair game to a hunter. So im just confused on how this is as much hunter vs monster as it can be when utilizing the whole toolkit is more monster hunter in my eyes.
Again, this is for the RESTRICTED ruleset. It is based on the historic IL rules/ideology that monster hunter IL runners have used for years to strip the fight down to as much of Weapon Type vs Monster with as little additional aids as possible. If you want to utilize the entire toolkit, then you can run the FREESTYLE category where there are almost no restrictions on items or environmental factors.
What is going to be the ruling on Gogmazios fight? To my knowledge you physically cannot solo it as you are given a minimum of 4 other hunters like Fabios and the like. Will Gog be excluded from speedrun categories or will it be the only exception to using support hunters? Just curious for speedrunning gog in general and uploading it.
Thank you for your time,
Hunter
For right now, the Gogmazios fight is going to be off the leaderboard until further notice due to the fact that you can't physically solo it and the game highly encourages you to utilize objects such as the railgun, falling objects, etc. (At max charge, railgun does approx 67,000 damage.) But I will be posting an update in the future when the quest does go live on the leaderboard.
Alright. I honestly hope you moderators dont exclude this monster just cause the developers wanting you to play it in a group. Its honestly a really fun fight. Ill keep an eye out for that update.

I hope everyone has been enjoying themselves with the new update to the charms system. There is no exaggeration when people say that there is a lot of RNG involved with the charms. I have been studying runs from other runners and conversing with them and the general agreement is that the impact fr
