Hi basically I want to get into Learning FF9 But I dont use Discord for personal reasons and I thought I would ask here. But I want to do it through Duckstation and a lot of the settings arent on the current versions I am using.

Is there any Major things in Duckstation that absolutely need to be shown?

I know Emulation Speed FPS Counter Controller Input. But OSD isnt a toggable option for me. but a lot of things pop up whenever I load a game. However from the Settings that I can see whenever I set it to 3x on Read Speedup I keep getting One or more unsafe setting is Enabled and CD-Rom read/Seek speedup is enabled and may crash the game. With it set to None (Double Speed) I dont get the popup of that.

And when I do manage to do a Full run. can I slightly change some of the Rendering? For example Internal Resolution I would like to set it to 5x for 1080P instead of 1x or Native Aspect ratio to 16:9 or Stretch to fit etc if Possible. and any screen fixes I can do to prevent black borders on either side of the screen.

Out of my own experience, i can only recommend running older versions of Duckstation (like the one put in Resources), due to experiencing crashes after FMVs/Cutscenes, but if it works out for you that's great.

OSD Messages being needed is just a check that you don't have the settings turned up where you might get an advantage over others purely by faster load times etc. Since that message about "unsafe" settings pops up, you're good.

These "unsafe" settings basically speed up load times to about PlayStation 2 Levels with Fast Disc Speed enabled, so it's about the same as the PSX Disc runs.

Graphic Settings are completely up to you, i run on 5x Internal Resolution as well, they shouldnt impact performance afaik.

Just to let you be aware though - I did try the version recommended in the resource but I did a few casual runs and Crashed 2 out of 5x at the Bahamut and Alexander FMV could be Emulation setting issues but it was that specific FMV every time. But the most Recent update to duckstation seems the Most stable for me it is why I asked about the settings and what has to be shown. low sample size for both but no Crashes in 4 casual runs more confidence in that.
