Hi everyone,

Last week, a poll was posted on the Deltarune speedrunning discord server regarding the future of CH1-4 runs, and any future obsolete All Chapters categories. Thank you to everyone who responded.

The results have since been analysed. Whilst it was clear for where the categories would go for each option, it was very close between whether the categories would simply be relocated, or if the categories would move to a spreadsheet. As such, the results were filtered by those who have speedran the game, and further for those who have ran CH1-4 All Chapters.

A summary of the Category Relocation vs Spreadsheet results are below:

Everyone (76 responses)

• Category Relocation: 46.1%

• Spreadsheet: 53.9%

Deltarune Runners (62)

• Category Relocation: 37.1%

• Spreadsheet: 62.9%

All Chapters Runners (30)

• Category Relocation: 33.3%

• Spreadsheet: 66.7%

Whilst the results are very close across all responders, Deltarune speedrunners were much more likely to vote for Spreadsheet over Category Relocation. Not much difference was found between Deltarune Runners and All Chapters Runners.

As such, all Chapters 1-4 categories, including Category Extensions and all future obsolete categories, will be moved to a spreadsheet. This spreadsheet will be viewable via a pinned forum post on speedrun.com.

In addition to these categories, we successfully archived all past non-April Fools categories, including CH1+2 (Main and CE) and CH1 (True Pacifist True Reset, and Jevil True Reset). As such, these will also be added to the spreadsheet to preserve some of the games past history. This was not talked about in the poll as it was not thought of until after the poll was posted.

The spreadsheet is planned to be released alongside the upcoming leaderboard embargo ending, but it may take longer. Please be patient with us during this time.

There will be deadline for when you can submit CH1-4 runs. YOU MUST SUBMIT ALL CH1-4 RUNS BY WEDNESDAY 2PM UTC! RUNS SUBMITTED AFTER THE LEADERBOARD EMBARGO BEGINS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

• Special exceptions can be made for technical difficulties refraining runs from being submitted on time.
