Hey everybody!

After talking with members of the Contra community about adding a Turbo category and seeing all the interest around it, we decided to officially bring Turbo to the Contra leaderboards!

We recently ran a community poll to settle the rules. The voting options were Option A (cap Turbo at 17 Hz) and Option B (Uncapped / Free Choice). Option B won the vote 11 to 5!

Starting today, Turbo is officially allowed as a sub-category variable across all main leaderboards (Any%, Low%, Co-op, etc.)! On Speedrun.com, you will now see a new Input variable where you can select between No Turbo and Turbo.

You are free to use whatever Turbo speed your controller or setup permits without needing to cap or calibrate it down to 17 Hz. Whether you're playing on an NES Max, an NES Advantage, or an emulator, you're good to go right out of the box. Toggling Turbo mid-run is also fully permitted.

Hey everybody! we decided as a community to allow the code for all categories except pacifist,we did a poll a little while ago and konami code won so yeah the code is now allowed!,also if you want to run pacifist using the code we created a pacifist category that allows the code on the contra extensions leaderboard.
