emulator runs are shown differently in the leaderboard, whenever you enable a specific filter to show them. so they aren't that much important in terms of the whole game.
emulator world records were used to be much faster than mobile ones because of the keybinds that make instant 1428 at the start. as for now, they are banned for the main leaderboards for performing inhuman inputs and putting other runs in disadvantage. but you can still use them in category extensions in their respective subcategories.
